Kungsängen Golf Club
Kungsängen Golf Club is a golf club in Kungsängen, Sweden. The club was established in 1989. In that year, the first 18 holes were constructed. The club now has two 18-hole golf courses: the 'Kings Course' and the 'Queens Course'. The club house was completed in 1993. Queens Course The Queens Course is the oldest of the two golf courses and opened in 1991. The course runs through the forests, is smaller and has smaller greens. Kings Course The Kings Course opened in 1993 and immediately had 18 holes. Three years later, there were increased ambitions and the course would be renovated to be made suitable for international championships. The course was made wider so that there would be room for the public. There are natural water hazards and the fairways are surrounded by pines. Scandinavian Masters
The Scandinavian Masters is an annual golf tournament on the European Tour played in Sweden. In 2020 the tournament became co-sanctioned with the Ladies European Tour and rebranded as the Scandinavian Mixed, in which both male and female golfers compete. History The tournament had its origins in the Volvo Open and the Scandinavian Enterprise Open, which, in 1973, became the first Swedish stop on the European Tour schedule. In 1991, the SEO merged with the PLM Open, with the resultant tournament being called the Scandinavian Masters. The European Tour (currently known as the DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons), legally the PGA European Tour is the leading men's professional golf tour in Europe. Jesper Parnevik
Jesper Bo Parnevik (; born 7 March 1965) is a Swedish professional golfer. He spent 38 weeks in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking in 2000 and 2001. Early years and amateur career Parnevik was born in Botkyrka, Stockholm County, and is the son of Swedish entertainer Bosse Parnevik and his wife Gertie (b. 1940). He grew up in Åkersberga. Parnevik became a member of the first group of students in Sweden to combine studying with golf training at the Swedish upper secondary sports school in Danderyd outside Stockholm. Graeme McDowell (born 30 July 1979) is a professional golfer from Northern Ireland. Mark Adam Hensby (born 29 June 1971) is an Australian professional golfer. Hensby was born in Melbourne, Victoria. He grew up in Tamworth, New South Wales and attended Tamworth High School, leaving at the age of 16 to work as a postie while spending most of his time on the golf course. The Legends Tour is the current branding of the European Senior Tour, a professional tour for male golfers aged 50 and over, run by the PGA European Tour. Denis O'Sullivan (golfer)
Denis O'Sullivan (born 11 March 1948) is a retired professional Irish golfer. He won the 1985 Irish Amateur Close and the 1990 Irish Amateur Stroke Play, but did not turn professional until 1997, when he decided to try to qualify for the European Seniors Tour. He came through the European Seniors Tour Qualifying School at his first attempt and became one of the tour's most consistent players.
