Kundli is a town and municipal council in Sonipat, Haryana with a population of 100,000 (2017), on Delhi-Haryana border in Sonipat tehsil of Sonipat district in the Indian state of Haryana. It lies on Western Peripheral Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway and Delhi-Amritsar NH-1 (presently NH-44). The Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) or Kundli–Ghaziabad–Palwal Expressway (KGP Expressway) is a long, 6-lane wide expressway passing through the states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh in India. The expressway starts from the Western Peripheral Expressway at Kundli, Sonipat, passing through Baghpat, Ghaziabad and Noida districts in UP and Faridabad district in Haryana before rejoining the Western Peripheral Expressway near Dholagarh, Palwal. The National Capital Region (NCR) is a planning region centred upon the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi in India. It encompasses Delhi and several districts surrounding it from the states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. The Delhi Metro is a mass rapid transit (MRT) system serving Delhi and its satellite cities of Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Bahadurgarh and Ballabhgarh, in the National Capital Region of India. Narela and sub-city is a tehsil, located in the North Delhi district of Delhi, and forms the border of Delhi with Haryana. Situated just off the Grand Trunk Road, its location made it an important market town for the surrounding areas, during the 19th century, which it still retains. National Capital Region Transport Corporation
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is a joint venture company of the Government of India and the states of Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi. The NCRTC is mandated with implementing the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project across the National Capital Region (NCR), ensuring a balanced and sustainable urban development through better connectivity and access.
