Ksenya Viktorovna Stepanycheva (russian: Ксения Викторовна Степанычева, born November 4, 1978) is a Russian playwright. Ksenya Stepanycheva was born in the city of Saratov on November 4, 1978, into the family of a military serviceman. She lived with her father in military garrisons in Germany, Ukraine and the subarctic region. Saratov
Saratov (, ; rus, Сара́тов, a=Ru-Saratov.ogg, p=sɐˈratəf) is the largest city and administrative center of Saratov Oblast, Russia, and a major port on the Volga River upstream (north) of Volgograd. Saratov had a population of 901,361, making it the 17th-largest city in Russia by population. Saratov is from Volgograd, from Samara, and southeast of Moscow. The city stands near the site of Uvek, a city of the Golden Horde. Tsar Feodor I of Russia likely developed Saratov as a fortress to secure Russia's southeastern border. Saratov developed as a shipping port along the Volga and was historically important to the Volga Germans, who settled in large numbers in the city before they were expelled after World War II. A playwright or dramatist is a person who writes plays. Etymology The word "play" is from Middle English pleye, from Old English plæġ, pleġa, plæġa ("play, exercise; sport, game; drama, applause"). The word "wright" is an archaic English term for a craftsman or builder (as in a wheelwright or cartwright). Saratov Drama Theater (russian: Саратовский академический театр драмы имени И. А. Слонова) is located in the city of Saratov, Russia. It is one of the oldest theaters in Russia. Saratov Drama Theater was founded in 1859. Before its establishment, acting troupes from Moscow and St. Petersburg periodically visited Saratov, but only played private functions for the city's wealthier inhabitants. In 1859, Franz Schechtel (ru: Франц Осипович Шехтель), a wealthy merchant of German descent, opened his private home theater to the general public. In the first decades of its existente, the theater burned down and was rebuilt several times. Stanislav Sergeyevich Govorukhin (russian: Станислав Сергеевич Говорухин; 29 March 1936 – 14 June 2018) was a Soviet Union, Soviet and Russians, Russian film director, actor, screenwriter, producer and politician. He was named People's Artist of Russia in 2006. His movies often featured detective or adventure plots. Biography Govorukhin was born in Berezniki, Sverdlovsk Oblast (now Perm Krai). His parents divorced before he was born. His father Sergei Georgievich Govorukhin came from Russians, Russian Don Cossacks and was arrested as part of the decossackization genocide campaign started by Yakov Sverdlov.
