''Krøniken'' (English: ''Better Times'') is a Danish television drama which aired on Sunday evenings between January 2004 and January 2007. The 22-episode series relates the lives of two fictional families during the historical development of the Danmarks Radio television network from the 1950s to the 1970s. Created by Stig Thorsbøe for the DR broadcast-television network, the series debuted on 4 January 2004. The program's first season set popularity records. Five of the episodes were listed among the ten most watched television programs since records began in Denmark in 1992. The first-season finale topped the list with 2,717,000 viewers. In 2004, the program was nominated for the International Emmy Award for Best Drama but lost to Waking the Dead. The series concluded with the 22nd episode airing on 1 January 2007 and watched by 2.4 million viewers. Anne Louise Hassing (born 17 September 1967) is a Danish actress. She is best known for her roles in the films ''Pain of Love'' (1992) and ''The Idiots'' (1998). Career Anne Louise Hassing was born in Horsens, Denmark, on 17 September 1967. Hassing's acting career is known in Denmark for its remarkable start. In 1992, Hassing made her film debut in the lead role of Nils Malmros' ''Pain of Love'' (Danish: ''Kærlighedens Smerte''). Klaus Bondam
Klaus Bondam (born 19 November 1963, in Aakirkeby) is a Danish actor and politician. Acting career Bondam has been the manager two theatres, (1996–2003) and Folketeatret (2003–2005), and been administrative manager of Mungo Park theatre (1995–1996). Klaus Bondam began acting on stage in 1988. His acting breakthrough came in the movie ''Festen'' in 1998, playing the German toastmaster at the party. He starred in the series '' Langt fra Las Vegas'' (2001–2003) as the sexually driven boss Niels Buckingham. Filmography Film Television Politics Klaus Bondam was in the political party Radikale Venstre and ran for mayor of Copenhagen in November 2005. The party's city council representation grew from five to seven seats. This was not enough to secure the mayorship. He was instead named Mayor of the Technical and Environmental Committee. Waage Sandø (born May 8, 1943) is a Danish theatre, film and television actor. He is known to international audiences mainly for his appearances in the TV series ''Bedrag'' (''Follow the Money'') Sandø, son of a tavern owner in Copenhagen, was born in the Copenhagen suburb of Vesterbro and educated at the Private Theatre School from 1964 to 1966.
