Královec
Královec (german: Königshan) is a municipality and village in Trutnov District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 200 inhabitants. Geography Královec is located about north of Trutnov and north of Hradec Králové. The municipality borders Poland to the north and east. It lies in the Broumov Highlands. The highest point is the hill Královecký Špičák at above sea level. History The first written mention of the village of Královec is from 1292, however, the woods in the area under the name ''Königshein'' were mentioned already in 1007. During its existence, the village was alternately part of the Žacléř estate, or it was owned by the town of Trutnov or by the Krzeszów Abbey. Mathias Czwiczek
Mathias Czwiczek also Maciej Croiczek, Cwiczeck, Cwiczek, Cwiczeke, Czwiczeck, Czwiczek, Czwiczik, Schwetzge and Schwezge (1601, Královec – 1654, Königsberg), was a Bohemian painter active in Brandenburg-Prussia. Biography According to the Netherlands Institute for Art History, he was court painter to Frederick William, Elector of Brandenburg and made many trips in his company to the Netherlands and France. He is known for paintings of interiors with figures. In 1628 he entered into service of George William, Elector of Brandenburg. Lubawka
Lubawka (german: Liebau) is a town in Poland, in Lower Silesia Voivodship, in Kamienna Góra County. It is the administrative seat of Gmina Lubawka. It lies in the Sudetes near to the border with the Czech Republic on the way across the Lubawka pass (516m) between the Karkonosze and Krucze Mountains ( cz, Vraní hory). Krzeszów Abbey ( pl, Klasztor w Krzeszowie, german: Kloster Grüssau) is a historical Baroque Cistercian monastery in Krzeszów, Lower Silesia, Poland. The name ''Grüssau Abbey'' refers to a house of the Benedictine Order founded in 1947 in the town of Bad Wimpfen in Baden-Württemberg, where the German Grüssau (Krzeszów) community moved, after Krzeszów became again part of Poland following World War II. The Abbey, a 1242 Benedictine foundation, from 1289 to 1810 was run by Cistercians, until it was secularized by the Prussian state. Since 1919, it was again run by Benedictines, exiles from Prague.
