Kryzys
Kryzys is a Polish rock music band, regarded as a pioneer of Polish punk rock and reggae. The origins of Kryzys go back to 1978, when the Warsaw punk rock ensemble ''The Boors'' was started by Robert Brylewski (g., voc.), Piotr Mrowiński (g.), Marek Iwańczuk (bg., later replaced by Ireneusz Wereński) and Kamil Stoor (dr.), who was replaced in January 1980 by Maciej "Magura" Góralski - poet, drummer. In May 1979, the band changed the name into ''Kryzys'' ('Crisis'), which was suggested by Brylewski. Robert Brylewski
Robert Maksymilian Brylewski, also known as. Afa and Robin Goldroker (25 May 1961 – 3 June 2018), was a Polish musician and singer-songwriter, co-founder of bands Kryzys, Brygada Kryzys, Izrael and Armia. In May 2012, Brylewski's autobiography, titled "Kryzys w Babilonie" ("Crisis in Babylon"), was published by the Wydawnictwo Literackie publishing house. The book has 584 pages and is based on a conversation between Brylewski and Polish Playboy journalist Rafał Księżyk. In the book, Brylewski answers numerous questions about his childhood, youth, music, and private life. Early years Brylewski's father Waldemar was born in Czeladź, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie, while his mother Hanna is from Warsaw. The two met in the 1950s, while dancing for the famous Śląsk Song and Dance Ensemble. Brygada Kryzys
Brygada Kryzys () was one of the most important and influential Polish post-punk bands. The band was founded in 1981 by two well-known guitarist/vocalists from Warsaw, Robert Brylewski (formerly of the band ''Kryzys'') and Tomasz Lipiński (from '' Tilt''). Tomasz Lipiński
Tomasz “Frantz” Lipinski is a Polish rock guitarist, lyricist, composer and singer. Born on 21 August 1955 in Warsaw, Lipinski is the founder of Tilt, one of the first punk rock bands in Poland, and co-founder of Brygada Kryzys, regarded as an influential rock band in Poland. Furthermore, he was a member of the bands Fotoness and Izrael. He is the son of the satirist and caricaturist Eryk Lipinski, but was raised by his mother, for the first time meeting his father at the age of eight. In 1975, Lipinski graduated from high school, and continued his education at Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1979, Lipinski founded Tilt, one of the first punk rock bands in Poland. In the summer of 1981, together with Robert Brylewski, Lipinski founded Brygada Kryzys, an influential new wave group in Poland. Jarocin Festival
Jarocin Festival was one of the biggest and most important rock music festivals in 1980s Europe, by far the biggest festival of alternative music in the Warsaw Pact countries. Founded in 1980, the festival was based on the earlier ''Wielkopolskie Rytmy Młodych'' (Greater Poland’s Rhythms of the Youth), which had been organised in Jarocin since 1971. In 1980, due to Walter Chelstowski’s initiative, its name was changed to ''Ogólnopolski Przegląd Muzyki Młodej Generacji w Jarocinie'' (All-Polish Review of Music of Young Generation in Jarocin) and subsequently, musicians and bands from the whole country were invited. Izabela Ludwika Trojanowska (née Schütz; born 22 April 1955) is a Polish rock singer and actress performing in theatre, TV series and films. Pidżama Porno
Pidżama Porno (Porno Pyjamas) is a Polish punk rock / reggae / ska band. History The band was founded in December 1987 in Poznań, by Krzysztof "Grabaż" Grabowski and Andrzej "Kozak" Kozakiewicz, students of Adam Mickiewicz University, who originally come from the town of Piła. Two years later they recorded their first material, named '' Ulice jak stygmaty'' (''Streets Like Stigmata''). The band played at the Jarocin Festival and in 1990 went on a tour to Czechoslovakia as the first underground group from Poland. In 1990 Pidżama Porno recorded their second album '' Futurista''. Although, it was released in 1996, the demo was copied on MC's and shared through the fans. To this day it remains very popular among Polish listeners. Dezerter
Dezerter, founded as SS-20 in May 1981 in Warsaw, is one of the most popular punk bands from Poland. The band was founded by three students of Warsaw's vocational high school ( technikum) - Robert "Robal" Matera (guitar), Krzysztof Grabowski (drums), and Dariusz "Stepa" Stepnowski (bass). All three were born in 1963, and went to the same class. From the beginning Grabowski wrote lyrics, and Matera music. The three classmates originally planned to name their band Sektor A, but after some time changed their minds and named it SS-20. Soon afterwards, they were joined by another student of the same school, Dariusz "Skandal" Hajn (voc., born 1965), who, as Grabowski later stated, "looked like a real punkrocker".
