Kristīne Kārkliņa
Kristīne Kārkliņa (born September 30, 1983 in Riga) is a Latvian women's basketball player currently playing for TTT Riga and Latvia women's national basketball team. She joined TTT Riga in 2009. Previously she had played for SK Cēsis, as well as several other local and foreign clubs before 2000. Niedola contributed to the successes of the team in EuroBasket 2009. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. TTT Rīga is a professional women's basketball club based in Riga, Latvia. "TTT" means Tram and Trolley Trust. The team held its first official game on 5 November 1958. The next 25 years are known as the ''First Golden age'' of the club. The Latvia women's national basketball team is the national women's basketball team representing Latvia. It is administrated by the Latvian Basketball Association. It has participated in EuroBasket Women three times and once in the Olympic Games. SK Cēsis is a professional women's basketball club based in Cēsis, Latvia. The team currently plays in Latvian Women's Basketball League. In 2008 the team attained second place in Baltic Women's Basketball League championships. EuroBasket Women
EuroBasket Women is a biennial international women's basketball competition held between the nations of FIBA Europe for women's national teams. EuroBasket Women is also used as a qualifying tournament for the FIBA Women's World Cup and also the Olympic Games. The 2009 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2009, was the 32nd regional championship held by FIBA Europe. The competition was held in Latvia from June 7 to June 20, 2009.
