Kristie Lynn Smith (born 7 August 1988) is an Australian professional golfer who plays on the Futures Tour and the Ladies European Tour. She was the 2008 Australian Amateur Champion and was the low amateur in the 2008 MFS Women's Australian Open at Kingston Heath Golf Club, finishing at 1 under par in equal 5th place. Smith turned pro at the end of 2009, earning playing privileges on the Futures Tour. In December 2009 she also qualified for the Ladies European Tour. She won her first tournament as a professional in January 2010 at the Canberra Ladies Classic on the ALPG Tour. She won her second pro tournament on 11 April 2010 at the Daytona Beach Invitational on the Futures Tour. Aaron John Baddeley (born 17 March 1981) is an Australian professional golfer. He was born in Lebanon, New Hampshire, USA and now plays on the U.S.-based PGA Tour, he has joint U.S. and Australian citizenship and was raised in Australia from the age of two. Gladys Hay Memorial Cup
The Australian Women's Interstate Teams Matches were an amateur team golf competition for women between the states of Australia. From 1933 it was contested for the Gladys Hay Memorial Cup. The final format was a round-robin tournament, each team playing the other five teams, after which the top two teams play a final. Each team consisted of six players. Five competed in each round-robin contest with all six playing in the final. Only singles matches were played. In 2020 the format for interstate team matches was changed so that the men's and women's event were combined into a single mixed-team event, the Australian Interstate Teams Matches. The Queen Sirikit Cup, officially the Asia-Pacific Amateur Ladies Golf Team Championship, is an annual amateur team golf championship for women organised by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation. Tasman Cup
The Tasman Cup was an amateur women's team golf tournament, played between Australia and New Zealand from 1933 to 2016. From 2007 to 2012 it was played as part of the Trans Tasman Cup. In 2016 the trophy was contested using scores from the two qualifying rounds of the Australian Women's Amateur. History The first contest was held at Victoria Golf Club in Melbourne in 1933. It was played on 1 September, after the qualifying rounds of the Australian Women's Amateur but before the start of the match-play stage. Four singles were played in the morning and two foursomes in the afternoon. Australia won 3 of the 4 singles matches but after lunch three of the five Australian players were unable to play in the foursomes because of illness, and they had to concede the second foursomes match. 2011 Ladies European Tour
The 2011 Ladies European Tour was a series of golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world which took place from February through December 2011. The tournaments were sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET). The tour featured 24 official money events, as well as the Tenerife Ladies Match Play, the European Nations Cup and the Solheim Cup. Ai Miyazato won the Order of Merit with earnings of €363,080, despite only playing in two events.
