Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. During the Viking Age the area was part of Viken. Oslo was founded as a city at the end of the Viking Age in 1040 under the name Ánslo, and established as a ''kaupstad'' or trading place in 1048 by Harald Hardrada. Tromsø (; se, Romsa; fi, Tromssa; fkv, Tromssa; sv, Tromsö) is a city in Tromsø Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The city is the administrative centre of the municipality as well as the administrative centre of Troms county. The Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland and its Bishop are based at the Tromsø Cathedral in the city. Arne Aas
Arne Gunerius Aas (1890–1953) was a Norwegian civil servant and politician. He worked as a prosecutor in Tromsø from 1914 to 1916 and then held the same job in Tønsberg from 1916 to 1918. He worked as a private lawyer starting in 1918. He was elected to the city council of Tønsberg in 1927 and then he held the position of mayor of Tønsberg from 1935 to 1936. In 1936, he was appointed as the (judge) in Varanger, based in the town of Vadsø. After World War II, he was appointed to be one of the war judges. Martin Buvik
Martin Johannes Toralf Buvik (14 January 1923–17 February 2018) was a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. Buvik was a teacher in Skånland Municipality and Evenes Municipality from 1942 until 1947. After this, he worked for the Conservative Party in Troms county. Later, he was a member of the municipal council for Tromsøysund Municipality Tromsøysund is a former municipality in Troms county in Norway. Troms
Troms (; se, Romsa; fkv, Tromssa; fi, Tromssa) is a former county in northern Norway. On 1 January 2020 it was merged with the neighboring Finnmark county to create the new Troms og Finnmark county. This merger is expected to be reversed by the government resulting from the 2021 Norwegian parliamentary election. It bordered Finnmark county to the northeast and Nordland county in the southwest. Norrbotten Län in Sweden is located to the south and further southeast is a shorter border with Lapland Province in Finland. To the west is the Norwegian Sea (Atlantic Ocean). The entire county, which was established in 1866, was located north of the Arctic Circle. Kunnskapsforlaget () is a Norwegian publishing company based in Oslo. Kunnskapsforlaget was established in 1975, as a partnership between H. Aschehoug & Co. (W. Nygaard) and Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. The purpose was to co-operate on publishing encyclopaedias and dictionaries. The first volume of Store norske leksikon (SNL) was published in 1978. A total of four editions was published (the last one in 2004), before the online version was transferred to Institusjonen Fritt Ord og Sparebankstiftelsen DnB in 2011. Kunnskapsforlaget is the largest dictionary publisher in Norway. They publish both printed books, and digital dictionaries that are available through the online service Ordnett (launched in 2004).
