Kris Yao
Kris Yao (; born December 1951) is a Taiwanese architect, and the founder and head architect at KRIS YAO , ARTECH in Taipei and Shanghai. Biography Yao was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. Yao received his Bachelor of Architecture at Tunghai University in 1975, and received his Masters in Architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1978. Kris Yao , Artech Established by Kris Yao in 1985, KRIS YAO , ARTECH is an architectural firm composed of more than 160 professionals with offices in Taipei and Shanghai. The firm's projects are mainly located in the Greater China area, but are also found in the United States, Europe, and South Asia. Taipei (), officially Taipei City, is the capital and a special municipality of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Southern Branch Of The National Palace Museum
The Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum (NPMSB; ) is a museum in Taibao City, Chiayi County, Taiwan. History To improve the cultural equity between Northern Taiwan and Southern Taiwan, the Executive Yuan approved the construction of the southern branch of National Palace Museum on 31 December 2004 as the Asian Arts and Culture Museum. The museum main building groundbreaking ceremony was held on 6 February 2013 hosted by President Ma Ying-jeou and the beam-raising ceremony was held on 5 June 2014 hosted by Vice President Wu Den-yih. The museum was opened for trial on 28 December 2015. In mid April 2016, the museum was closed due to reparation work of water leakage in its main hall building. United Daily News Office Building
The United Daily News Office Building, also known as UDN Building (), is a mixed-used skyscraper building located in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. The building was completed in 2018, with a total floor area of and a height of that comprise 34 floors above ground, as well as 5 basement levels. It houses the corporate headquarters of United Daily News. The first to 20th floors of the building are offices whilst the 21st to 34th floors are used for residential apartment units. Design The building was designed by the Taiwanese architect Kris Yao, inspired by the Daily News Building in New York City. The building's design adopts a futuristic sensation by utilising aluminum claddings as well as a glass façade. New Taipei City
New Taipei City is a special municipality located in northern Taiwan.
