OJSC Krasny Oktyabr (russian: ОАО "Красный Октябрь", "Red October") is a Russian confectionery manufacturer and a member of the United Confectioners holding company. Its parent company was 17th in the list of the largest candy companies in the world, with sales amounting to $1.196 billion. History The company was founded by the German Theodor Ferdinand von Einem. Von Einem sold his stake in the enterprise to German Julius Heuss, who became its director in 1878, retaining the position until his death in 1907. In 1896, the Einem factory won a gold medal at the All-Russian Industrial and Artistic Exhibition, and it was allowed to supply confectionery to the court of the tsar. At the turn of the 20th century, the Einem factory won chocolatiers' competitions across Europe, and its advertising was displayed prominently in Moscow. Tribeca
Tribeca (), originally written as TriBeCa, is a neighborhood in Lower Manhattan in New York City. Its name is a syllabic abbreviation of "Triangle Below Canal Street". The "triangle" (more accurately a quadrilateral) is bounded by Canal Street, West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. By the 2010s, a common marketing tactic was to extend Tribeca's southern boundary to either Vesey or Murray streets to increase the appeal of property listings. Lumiere Brothers Center For Photography
The Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography is a private exhibition organization located in the former chocolate factory and acting art cluster Red October in Moscow. Since its foundation in 2010, the center aims to explore and promote Russian and foreign photography, support emerging Russian artists and explore beyond the medium. Baibakov Art Projects is a non-profit organization that aims to provide platforms for cultural production primarily within Moscow. History Founded in 2008, the initiative was the first to make use of the former Red October Chocolate Factory in the center of Moscow.
