The 2016 Canadian census was an enumeration of Canadian residents, which counted a population of 35,151,728, a change from its 2011 population of 33,476,688. Benalto is a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada within Red Deer County. It is located approximately west of the Town of Sylvan Lake. Alberta Provincial Highway No. 11, commonly referred to as Highway 11 and officially named the David Thompson Highway, is a provincial highway in central Alberta, Canada.
