Hans Kossmann
Hans Kossmann (born March 14, 1962) is a Canadian-Swiss professional ice hockey coach. Career Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Kossmann came to Switzerland when he was 22 years of age. During his playing career, he spent time with several Swiss clubs, playing in the second-tier National League B (NLB) for Genève-Servette HC, EHC Bülach, SC Rapperswil-Jona and Lausanne HC. However, Kossmann never played in the Swiss top-flight National League A (NLA). After putting an end to his playing days, he accepted the head coaching job at HC Ajoie in 1995, where he had spent his final season as a player. Kossmann parted ways with Ajoie in November 1996 and was hired by fellow NLB team SC Luzern in March 1997. He then joined the coaching staff of EHC Biel, serving as assistant coach from 1997 to 1999. Ernst Kossmann
Ernst Heinrich Kossmann (31 January 1922 – 8 November 2003), often named as E. H. Kossmann in his books, was a Dutch historian. He was professor of Modern History at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. His magnum opus is ''The Low Countries. History of the Southern and Northern Netherlands.'' Life and work Born in Leiden, Kossmann was the son of the erudite librarian F. H. Kossmann. He had two brothers. His twin brother Alfred became a writer; his younger brother, Bernhard, played the violin professionally. The Kossmann family was partly of Jewish descent and they came from Germany before they settled in the Netherlands. Kossmann attended the Gymnasium Erasmianum in Rotterdam. Kurt Kossmann
Kurt Kossmann (born Kurt Arthur Kossmann on April 28, 1966) is an American professional race car driver who is known for being the first amputee to compete in the 24 Hours of Daytona. Kurt is a cancer survivor who lost his left leg, above the knee, to an osteosarcoma in 1988. Kurt underwent thirteen months of chemotherapy before making a full recovery. During his recovery Kurt designed a prosthetic leg specifically for operating the clutch system in a race car. This device allowed him to continue his racing career in the Barber Pro Series, Grand American Road Racing Championship, and eventually enter the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2009. Kurt has worked with various charities and organizations to raise awareness and donations for childhood cancer. Since overcoming his illness, Kurt has teamed with Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp and One Lap of America for fundraising events.
