The Paralympic Committee of Kosovo, ( sq, Komiteti Paralimpik i Kosovës, sr, Параолимпијски комитет Косова / ''Paraolimpijski komitet Kosova''), is the governing body for parasports in Kosovo. It is a full member of the International Paralympic Committee, granting para-athletes from Kosovo the right to patriciate in the Paralympic Games. History The Paralympic Committee of Kosovo was granted provisional membership of the International Paralympic Committee by its Governing Board on 16 July 2022. Provisional membership granted all the privileges of full membership except the ability to vote, propose motions or nominate candidates at meetings of the General Assembly. Olympic Medal Table
The Olympic medal table is a method of sorting the medal placements of countries in the modern-day Olympics and Paralympics. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) does not officially recognize a ranking of participating countries at the Olympic Games. Nevertheless, the IOC does publish medal tallies for information purposes, showing the total number of Olympic medals earned by athletes representing each country's respective National Olympic Committee. The convention used by the IOC is to sort by the number of gold medals the athletes from a country have earned. In the event of a tie in the number of gold medals, the number of silver medals is taken into consideration, and then the number of bronze medals. If two countries have an equal number of gold, silver, and bronze medals, they are ordered in the table alphabetically by their IOC country code. Special Olympics Kosovo is a sporting organisation for children and adults with intellectual disabilities that operates in Kosovo. It is part of the global Special Olympics movement. History Special Olympics Kosovo was founded in 2002. Athletes from Kosovo first took part in the 2003 Special Olympics World Summer Games held in Dublin. This was the first time a team represented Kosovo at an international multisport event. Kosovo has participated in every Special Olympics World Games, Special Olympics World Summer Games since 2003 and Special Olympics World Games, Special Olympics World Winter Games since 2013. Kosovo made its Olympic debut as a member state in 2016. Its team is organized by the Olympic Committee of Kosovo (OCK), created in 1992 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee on 9 December 2014. The 2026 Winter Paralympics ( it, Giochi paralimpici invernali del 2026), officially known as the XIV Paralympic Winter Games, and commonly known as Milano-Cortina 2026, is an international winter multi-sport event for disabled athletes that is scheduled to take place in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, from 6 to 15 March 2026. All-time Paralympic Games Medal Table
An all-time medal table for all Paralympic Games from 1960 to 2020. The International Paralympic Committee does not publish all-time tables, and publishes unofficial tables only per single Games. This table was thus compiled by adding up single entries from the IPC database. This medal table also includes the medals won on the 1992 Summer Paralympics for Intellectualy Disabled, held in Madrid, which also organized by the International Coordination Committee (ICC) and same Organizing Committee (COOB'92) that made the gestion of the 1992 Summer Paralympics held in Barcelona and also part of same event.
