The Kontrovod (russian: Контровод) is a river in Primorsky Krai, Russia. It is long. It rises in the Strelnikov Range of Sikhote-Alin. The Kontrovod is a left tributary of the Bikin. Luchegorsk
Luchegorsk (russian: Лучего́рск) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) and the administrative center of Pozharsky District of Primorsky Krai, Russia. Population: History It was founded in 1966 on the bank of the Kontrovod River. Economy There is a large electric power station which supplies the electricity to Primorsky Krai and causes ecological problems in Luchegorsk. It is the closest settlement to where the Sino-Soviet border conflict occurred. Bikin (river)
The Bikin (russian: Бики́н) is a river in Primorsky and Khabarovsk Krais in Russia. It is a right tributary of the Ussuri, and is long, with a drainage basin of . Its main tributaries are the rivers Alchan, Klyuchevaya, Kontrovod and Zeva. The town Bikin is situated on the river Bikin. Sikhote-Alin
The Sikhote-Alin (russian: Сихотэ́-Али́нь, , , ) is a mountain range in Primorsky and Khabarovsk Krais, Russia, extending about to the northeast of the Russian Pacific seaport of Vladivostok. The highest summits are Tordoki Yani at above sea level, Ko Mountain () in Khabarovsk Krai and Anik Mountain () in Primorsky Krai. Geography Sikhote-Alin is a temperate zone, though species typical of northern taiga (such as reindeer and the Ussuri brown bear) coexist with the Amur tiger, Amur leopard, and Asiatic black bear. The region holds very few wolves, due to competition with tigers. The longest-lived tree in the region is a millennium-old Japanese yew.
