Kong Empire
The Kong Empire (1710–1898), also known as the Wattara Empire or Ouattara Empire for its founder, was a pre-colonial African Muslim state centered in northeastern Ivory Coast that also encompassed much of present-day Burkina Faso. It was founded by Dyula immigrants from the declining Mali Empire. It established a largely decentralized commercial empire based upon linkages by merchant houses protecting trade routes throughout the region. Kong rose to prominence in the 1800s as a key commercial center and center of Islamic studies. In 1898, Samori Ture attacked the city and burnt it down. Although the city was rebuilt, the Kong empire had dissipated and the French took control over the area. Android Kikaider
is a ''tokusatsu'' television series based on superhero manga series of the same name by Shotaro Ishinomori. The show was produced by Toei Company and Ishimori Productions, and was broadcast in Japan on NET (now TV Asahi) from July 8, 1972, to May 5, 1973, with a total of 43 episodes. This series was also one of the first ''tokusatsu'' to air in the United States (notably Hawaii), as ''Kikaida: Android of Justice''. Story Dr. Kohmyoji is a scientist and an expert in robotics, who is being kept prisoner by the evil organization DARK. Kia Stevens (born September 4, 1977) is an American actress and retired professional wrestler. She is best known for her time with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA)/Impact Wrestling under the ring name Awesome Kong. Shawn Crahan
Michael Shawn Crahan (born September 24, 1969), more commonly known by his stage persona "Clown", is an American musician. He is the co-founder and one of two percussionists for heavy metal band Slipknot in which he is designated #6. Crahan helped found Slipknot in 1995 along with Paul Gray and Joey Jordison. As of 2022, Crahan is the only remaining founding member of Slipknot. Gary Elkerton (born 21 August 1964), known as Kong is an Australian surfer, three time world masters champion (2000–01, 2003), three time world professional runner-up (1987, 1990, 1993), twice Hawaiian Triple Crown champion (1987, 1989) and Australian amateur champion (1984). Skull Island is the name most often used to describe a fictional island that first appeared in the 1933 film ''King Kong'' and later appearing in its sequels, the three remakes, and any other King Kong-based media. It is the home of the eponymous King Kong and several other species of creatures, mostly prehistoric and in some cases species that should have been extinct long before the rise of mammalian creatures, along with a primitive society of humans. KONG is a ride on the Surfside Pier at Morey's Piers seaside park. Each rider has a plane to fly around in and has steering controls. It is a typical Flying Scooters ride, manufactured by Larson International. History The original KONG ride opened in 1971 and was one of the original rides on the North Wildwood pier. However, the planes on the ride were removed in 1975. The giant ape that resembles King Kong fell apart when they tried to move it to New York for refurbishment in 1980. Three decades later, 6,200 people took a survey and voted to bring back Kong in order to revitalize Wildwood's famous boardwalk. They got their wish and the new Kong ride opened in 2015. Kong is an inverted roller coaster located at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom amusement park in Vallejo, California. The Suspended Looping Coaster (SLC) model was manufactured by Vekoma and first opened to the public as Hangman at Opryland USA on May 1, 1995. Following Opryland's closure in 1997, the roller coaster was sold to Premier Parks and moved to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, where it reopened as Kong in May 1998. History Opryland USA ''Kong'' was previously located at the now-defunct Opryland USA theme park in Nashville, Tennessee where it was known as ''The Hangman''.
