Allen C. Kolstad (December 24, 1931 – August 2, 2008) was an American politician from Montana. A Republican Party (United States), Republican from Chester, Montana, Chester in Liberty County, Montana, he was prominent in state politics for more than 40 years, beginning in 1968 with his election to the Montana House of Representatives, state House of Representatives. He served in the state House and later the Montana Senate, Senate for 20 years until he was elected the 25th Lieutenant Governor of Montana on the Ticket (election), ticket headed by Stan Stephens in 1988. Kolstad ran unsuccessfully for 1990 United States Senate election in Montana, U.S. Senate in the 1990 election, losing to incumbent Democratic Party (United States), Democratic United States Senate, Senator Max Baucus. Dean Kolstad (born June 16, 1968) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He was drafted in the second round, 33rd overall, by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. Harold Everette Kolstad (born June 1, 1935 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin) is a former pitcher in Major League Baseball who played from through for the Boston Red Sox. Lars "Lasse" Kolstad (10 January 1922 – 14 January 2012) was a Norwegian actor and singer. Active from the 1940s, he was known from many stage roles, but primarily as "Tevye" in ''Fiddler on the Roof''. As a secondary school student, Kolstad was president of the graduating class (''Russefeiring, russ'') council of his school, and eventually for all of Oslo. As this was in 1940, the Occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany, German occupation of Norway put a damper on any great festivities that year. In 1943 he had his début at Trøndelag Teater, where he remained until 1949. He has later worked at Centralteatret, Edderkoppen Theatre, Edderkoppen, Riksteatret, Fjernsynsteatret og Det Norske Teatret. Peder Ludvik Kolstad (28 November 1878 – 5 March 1932) was a Norwegian politician from the Agrarian Party. He was the 19th prime minister of Norway from 1931 until his death in 1932. Early life and education Born to a farmer's family in Borge, now part of Fredrikstad in Østfold county he got a degree from Kalnes school of agriculture in 1899 and a degree from the Agricultural University of Norway at Ås, Akershus county in 1902. He subsequently worked as teachers at agricultural schools in Asker, Akershus county and Nedenes, Aust-Agder county.
