''Koh-Lanta: Vanuatu'' was the sixth season of Koh-Lanta, the French version of '' Survivor''. This season took place in Vanuatu Vanuatu ( or ; ), officially the Republic of Vanuatu (french: link=no, République de Vanuatu; bi, Ripablik blong Vanuatu), is an island country located in the South Pacific Ocean. The archipelago, which is of volcanic origin, is east of no ..., and was broadcast on TF1 from July 21 to September 5, 2006, on Fridays at 6:55 p.m. The two original tribes this season were Mosso and Tana. Along with the typical aspects of the game, this season contestants had to deal with both a cyclone and a series of earthquakes (one of which damaged the immunity idol). Due to several medical evacuations, Alain, Nathalie, and Sébastien who were all initially eliminated early on returned to the game. Denis Brogniart
Denis Brogniart (; born 12 June 1967 in Dijon) is a French sport journalist and television host. He presents the show ''Koh-Lanta'' since 2002 and Formula One racing on TF1 with Marion Jollès Grosjean. Personal life Married in 2007 with Hortense, Denis Brogniart has four children (born between 2000 and 2007) including three with his current wife. He had twin sisters Lili and Violette, and a son named Dimitri. He has two brothers, one named Francis. His mother is a mathematics teacher and his father works in a bank. ''Koh-Lanta'' is a French reality game show based on the popular international '' Survivor'' format. The series premiered on August 4, 2001. The show is broadcast on TF1 and there have been 22 regular seasons and 7 special seasons. The show has been hosted by Denis Brogniart since the second season. The title of the show Thai "Ko Lanta" (roughly translated as "the island of a million eyes") - not only is this a reference to the televised nature of the competition (with millions of viewers watching the show) but the title is also the name of filming location of the first season (Ko Lanta Yai, Thailand). Following the basic premise of other international versions of the ''Survivor'' format, it features a group of contestants who are marooned in an isolated location, where they must provide food, water, fire, and shelter for themselves. Beaucaire (; Occitan and Provençal: ''Bèucaire'' ) is a commune in the Gard department in the Occitanie region of Southern France. In 2018, it had a population of 15,718. Les Rousses () is a commune in the Canton of Hauts de Bienne of Jura department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in eastern France, on the Swiss border. La Bouilladisse (; oc, Bolhadissa) is a commune in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of Southern France. In 2017, it had a population of 6,194.
