Kogi East Senatorial District is the largest of the three senatorial districts in Kogi State with nine local governments and 51 per cent of total voter population of Kogi State. Kogi State
Kogi State is a state in the North Central region of Nigeria, bordered to the west by the states of Ekiti and Kwara, to the north by the Federal Capital Territory, to the northeast by Nasarawa State, to the northwest by Niger State, to the southwest by the Edo and Ondo states, to the southeast by the states of Anambra and Enugu, and to the east by Benue State. It is the only state in Nigeria to border ten other states. Named for the Hausa word for river (''kogi).'' Kogi State was formed from parts of Benue State, Niger State, and Kwara State on 27 August 1991. Nicholas Ugbane (born 23 December 1953) is a Nigerian banker and politician. He was in the Senate of Nigeria between 2003 and 2011 and was the Senator for the Kogi East Senatorial District of Kogi State. He is a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). The All Progressives Congress (APC) is one of the two major contemporary political parties in Nigeria, along with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Jibrin Isah (born 28 February 1960) is Nigerian politician and banker, who is the senator representing Kogi East Senatorial District of Kogi State at the 9th National Assembly. Education Isah attended the LGEA Primary School, Ajiolo-Ojaji from 1967 to 1972. He proceeded to the Our Lady of School, Anyigba, for his secondary education between 1973 and 1977.
