''Kog sam đavola tražio u tebi'' (trans. ''What the Hell I Saw in You'') is the first studio album by Serbian and former Yugoslav hard rock band Griva, released in 1983. The album features Griva's debut single, a heavy metal cover of Lepa Brena's song "Sitnije, Cile, sitnije", Griva version entitled "Sitnije, sestro, sitnije". The track "Ti si lija, ti si zmija" features Galija member Nenad Milosavljević on harmonica. Griva
Griva (Serbian Cyrillic: Грива; trans. '' Mane'') was a Serbian and former Yugoslav hard rock band from Novi Sad. Band history 1982—1992 The band was formed in 1982 by former Ibn Tup members, Zlatko Karavla (drums) and Josip Sabo (guitar). The first lineup also featured Zoran Gogić (also a former Ibn Tup member, vocals), Laslo Novak (keyboards), and Đorđe Jovanović (bass guitar). Soon after the band was formed, Gogić left the band, so Karavla switched to vocals, and Janoš Kazimić became the band's new drummer. The band, under the name Bela Griva (''White Mane''), had their first live performance as the opening act on a Buldožer concert in Novi Sad. Soon after, Griva, as a support act, went on tour with Divlje Jagode. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Jugoton was the largest record label and chain record store in the former Yugoslavia based in Zagreb, SR Croatia. History Jugoton was formed in 1947. It is notable for releasing some of the most important former Yugoslav pop and rock records. In addition, the company owned a widespread network of record shops across SFR Yugoslavia. ''Nisi ni ti anđeo'' (trans. ''You're Not an Angel as Well'') is the second studio album by Serbian and Yugoslav hard rock band Griva, released in 1985. Background After the release of their debut album ''Kog sam đavola tražio u tebi'' (''What the Hell I Saw in You'') in 1983, Griva recorded the material for their second album, produced, as their previous album, by Karolj Kovač. Despite the success of the band's debut, the material for the second album was refused by several major Yugoslav record labels and noncommercial, so the band released the album through independent record label Panonija Koncert. It featured a cover of Joan Jett's version of the song "I Love Rock 'n' Roll", Griva version titled "I Law Myroslaw" (the title referring to folk music singer Miroslav Ilić Miroslav Ilić ( sh-Cyrl, Мирослав Илић; born 10 December 1950) is a popular Serbian folk singer-songwriter and philanthropist.
