Koen Fossey
Koen Fossey (born 30 June 1953) is a Belgian illustrator. Career He won the Prijs van de Vlaamse Provincies in 1983 for his picture book ''Het spoortje in het bos''. Fossey received the Prijs van de Kinder- en Jeugdjury voor het boek in Vlaanderen several times for illustrating various books written by Ed Franck: in 1986 for the book ''Spetters op de kermis'', in 1987 for ''Tenten in de wei'', in 1989 for ''De witte muur'' and in 1990 for ''Wie wil Wubbe weg''. In 1989, he won the very first Boekenpauw award for illustrating the book ''Moet je echt weg'', also written by Ed Franck. Boekenpauw
The Boekenpauw, also known as the Yvonne Gillé-Decoeneprijs, is a Flemish award for a Flemish or Dutch illustrator for the best illustrations in a children's book. History The Boekenpauw and Boekenpluim awards were established in 1989. The award was not given in 2017 due to reorganisation at Boek.be and due to reassessment of what awards the organisation would continue to support. The award was given again in 2018 sponsored by association of authors, composers and publishers SABAM and GAU (Groep Algemene Uitgevers). Gerda Dendooven won the Boekenpauw four times: in 1990, 1995, 2002 and 2007. Several illustrators have won the Boekenpauw twice: Carll Cneut (2000 and 2004), Goele Dewanckel (1999 and 2005), Ingrid Godon (2001 and 2015), Tom Schamp (2008 and 2013) en André Sollie (1998 and 2010). Digital Library For Dutch Literature
The Digital Library for Dutch Literature (Dutch: Digitale Bibliotheek voor de Nederlandse Letteren or DBNL) is a website (showing the abbreviation as dbnl) about Dutch language and Dutch literature. It contains thousands of literary texts, secondary literature and additional information, like biographies, portrayals etcetera, and hyperlinks. The DBNL is an initiative by the DBNL foundation that was founded in 1999 by the Society of Dutch Literature (Dutch: Maatschappij der Nederlandse Letterkunde). Building of the DNBL was made possible by donations, among others, from the Dutch Organization for Scientific Research (Dutch: Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek or NWO) and the Nederlandse Taalunie. From 2008 to 2012, the editor was René van Stipriaan. The work is done by eight people in Leiden (as of 2013: The Hague), 20 students, and 50 people in the Philippines who scan and type the texts.
