Knut Th. Gleditsch
Knut Theodor "Gle" Gleditsch (July 3, 1938 – February 13, 2001) was a Norwegian sportscaster from Sande, Vestfold. Life After spending some time at sea and studying as a business economist from the BI Norwegian Business School, he became a journalist for ''Sportsmanden'' in 1962. He started reporting for '' Morgenbladet'' in 1964, before moving to NRK Television in 1966. There he was a commentator on soccer and alpine skiing. He also covered a number of cup finals, international matches, and 4 o'clock Saturday matches broadcast as '' Tippekampen'', as well as seven World Cup finals for the national channel. Gleditsch left NRK in 1991 and started working for TV3, where for many years he commented on the UEFA Champions League, including Rosenborg's famous victory over AC Milan in 1996 and Ole Gunnar Solskjær's winning goal for Manchester United in 1999. Bærum
Bærum () is a municipality in the Greater Oslo Region in Norway that forms an affluent suburb of Oslo on the west coast of the city. Jonas Fjeld
Jonas Fjeld (born Terje Lillegård Jensen; 24 September 1952) is a Norwegian singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He is best known in the English-speaking world for two albums recorded by Danko/Fjeld/Andersen, a collaboration with Canadian Rick Danko of The Band and American singer-songwriter Eric Andersen. Fjeld also recorded three albums with the American bluegrass group Chatham County Line. Biography Fjeld took his stage name from the principal character of a series of novels written by Øvre Richter Frich. Although he was born in Bodø, he moved with his family to Drammen, Norway when he was a child. Fjeld's first recording contract was with the Jonas Fjeld Rock 'n' Rolf Band, a comedy band which included Herodes Falsk, in 1972. He switched to acoustic folk after listening to Eric Andersen's album Blue River. His first solo album, ', was released in 1975. Jens Gran Gleditsch
Jens Gran Gleditsch (1860–1931) was a Norwegian bishop and theologian. He was a brother of Kristen Gran Gleditsch. Gleditsch was born on 6 December 1860 in Voss, Søndre Bergenhus, Norway. He received his cand.theol. degree in 1883 from the University of Oslo. He was a chaplain in Lista from 1887 until 1891. He then moved to Antwerp, Belgium to serve as pastor of the Norwegian Seaman's Church there. In 1912, Gleditsch became the parish priest in Arendal. From 1917 until 1923, he held various positions in churches in Oslo. In 1918, he received an honorary Doctorate of Theology from the University of Uppsala. He was bishop at the Diocese of Nidaros from 1923 until 1928. His appointment as a bishop was very controversial at the time due to his liberal theology. The 1998 FIFA World Cup was the 16th FIFA World Cup, the football world championship for men's national teams. The finals tournament was held in France from 10 June to 12 July 1998. The country was chosen as the host nation by FIFA for the second time in the history of the tournament, defeating Morocco in the bidding process.
