Kluntarna (Luleå Municipality)
Kluntarna or ''Pite-Kluntarna'' is a Sweden, Swedish island belonging to the Piteå archipelago in Norrbotten. The island lies on the eastern edge of the archipelago; to the east lies the Gulf of Bothnia. The island has no bridge to the mainland. It has a few buildings but no permanent residents. Kluntarna was part of the Patta Peken Nature Reserve, since 2018 included in the larger Kallfjärden Nature Reserve. Piteå Archipelago
The Piteå archipelago ( sv, Piteå skärgård or ''Pite skärgård'') is a group of Swedish islands in the north part of the Bay of Bothnia, at Piteå in the southeast of Norrbotten County. A few of the islands have small permanent populations, but most are used only for recreation in the summer months. They are icebound during the winter. Location The north of the bay of Bothnia contains a large archipelago area. The islands in the Swedish sector make up the Norrbotten archipelago. It is divided into the archipelagos of Piteå (550 islands), Luleå (1,312 islands), Kalix (792 islands) and Haparanda (652 islands). Due to post-glacial rebound the land is rising at from annually, so the shoreline can retreat by as much as in one person's lifetime. Norrbotten
Norrbotten (), known in English as North Bothnia, is a Swedish province (''landskap'') in northernmost Sweden. It borders south to Västerbotten, west to Swedish Lapland, and east to Finland. Administration The traditional provinces of Sweden serve no administrative or political purposes, but are historical and cultural entities. In this case, however, the county is older than the province. When the new national border to the Russian Grand Duchy of Finland formed, the province of Västerbotten split in two, and formed the municipalities of Kolari, Muonio, Pello, Tornio, and Ylitornio. However, Finnish Västerbotten is not recognized enough as its own historical province, so it's usually merged instead with Ostrobothnia, however leaving out Muonio to Laponia.
