Klaus Grabowski
Marianne Bachmeier (3 June 1950 – 17 September 1996) became famous in Germany after she shot and killed the murderer of her daughter in an act of vigilantism in the hall of the District Court of Lübeck in 1981. Youth and family Bachmeier grew up in Sarstedt, after her parents fled from East Prussia. Her father had been a member of the Waffen-SS. Her parents divorced, and her mother later remarried. In 1966, at the age of 16, Bachmeier had her first child, who she gave up for adoption as an infant. She became pregnant again at the age of 18 by her then-boyfriend. Shortly before the birth of her daughter, Bachmeier was raped. Her second child was also given up for adoption as an infant. In 1973, Bachmeier's third daughter, Anna, was born. After that birth, Bachmeier had a tubal ligation operation, and she raised her child as a single parent. Ellie Nesler
Elena Starr Nesler (August 2, 1952 – December 26, 2008) was an American woman known for shooting and killing, in a court room, the man accused of molesting her son. Her case was reported on throughout the United States, and the Associated Press wrote that the incident "sparked a national debate about vigilantism". Killing of Driver Nesler made headlines on April 2, 1993 when she killed Daniel Mark Driver, who had been accused of sexually abusing five boys, including Nesler's then-six-year-old son, William, in the courtroom of the Jamestown Justice Court. She fired five shots into Driver's head, killing him instantly. Driver had previous convictions for child molestation. Gary Plauché
Leon Gary Plauché (November 10, 1945 – October 23, 2014) was an American man known for publicly killing Jeff Doucet, who had kidnapped, raped, and molested Plauché's prepubescent son, Jody. The killing occurred on Friday, March 16, 1984, and was captured on camera by a local news crew. For the fatal shooting, Plauché was given a seven-year suspended sentence with five years' probation and 300 hours of community service and received no prison time. The case received wide publicity because some people questioned whether Plauché should have been charged with murder or let off. Plauché contended that he was in the right, and that anyone in a similar position would have taken the same action. Kidnapping of his son by Doucet Gary Plauché lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. ''This is For You, Anna'' is a 1983 play devised by The Anna Collective. Initially developed as a 20-minute production for the Women's Perspective Festival, ''This is For You, Anna'' was re-written into a longer piece that premiered in 1984. The show went on to tour Canada and Britain throughout the 1980s. The play was created collectively in response to the crimes of German woman Marianne Bachmeier, who walked into a courtroom and shot the man who killed her daughter. The feminist play explores themes of violence, revenge, domesticity, and questions the roles of western women at the end of the 20th century. White was a founding member of Nightwood Theatre and served as its artistic coordinator from 1987 to 1988. Baņuta Rubess (born 1956) is a Canadian theatre director, playwright, and professor. She co-wrote '' This is For You, Anna'' as a member of the Anna Project. Rubess was a co-recipient of the 1988 Floyd S. Chalmers Canadian Play Award for children's theatre for her play ''Thin Ice''. Early life Rubess was born in 1956 in Toronto to Latvian parents. She spent six years living in Germany as a child. Rubess graduated with a BA honours in history and drama from Queen's University in 1977. In 1978, she received a Rhodes Scholarship to the University of Oxford. Rubess completed a doctorate of modern history at St Antony's College in 1982. Aida Jordão is a Portuguese-Canadian playwright, theatre director, and academic. She is a co-founder of the feminist theatre group, Company of Sirens, and she co-created '' This is For You, Anna'', a germinal Canadian feminist theatre play. Early life and education Jordão was born in Lisbon, Portugal. At age 9, she and her family moved to Toronto, Canada.
