Kiser is a variation spelling of the Germanic Kaiser (surname), Kaiser surname, and is pronounced in the same manner as Kaiser. This spelling originated before Standard_German, Standard German was codified, in territory that today falls within the mountainous Black Forest area of Germany and neighboring areas of Switzerland. Richard Kiser
Richard Kiser (born February 23, 1947), is an American Contemporary Christian music, CCM guitar player. Kiser has received over seventy industry awards and was voted the 2009 Instrumentalist of the Decade. Biography Kiser taught himself to play the guitar when he was thirteen and joined a gospel group three years later. He began playing professionally and touring in the late 1960s, but stopped about five years later to raise his family, working occasionally as a session musician and playing at his local church. In the 1990s he resumed touring, this time as a solo concert guitarist. He has recorded eight acoustic albums and has two instructional videos. Kiser is a featured guest artist each year at the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society which holds its annual convention in Nashville, Tennessee. Micah Kiser (born January 25, 1995) is an American football outside linebacker for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Virginia, and was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2018 NFL Draft. He has also played for the Denver Broncos. Early years Kiser attended the Gilman School in Baltimore, Maryland. He committed to the University of Virginia to play college football. Emily Katherine Kiser (born February 10, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for A.O. Eleutheria Moschatou of the Greek Women's Basketball League. She played college basketball at Michigan. High school career Kiser attended Noblesville High School where she played both volleyball and basketball. Nate Kiser (born May 4, 1982) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman. Playing career Kiser started his junior career with the Compuware Ambassadors of the NAHL, where he played from 1998 to 1999, scoring 5 points in goals and assists and spending a combined 46 minutes in the penalty box during regular season play. Kiser joined the Plymouth Whalers in the OHL from 1999 to 2003. While with the Whalers, he scored 41 points in combined goals and assists and earned 473 penalty minutes during regular season play. In the post-season, Kiser netted 12 points and 80 penalty minutes. In 2000, Kiser was picked by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 5th round of the NHL draft. He remained, however, with the Plymouth Whalers. Earl Herbert Kiser (1875 – 19 January 1936) was an American world class bicycle racer in the period around 1893–1904. Biography Kiser was a member of the famous Stearns Yellow Fellow Team that toured the world and won a European championship in 1897. Like many cyclists he turned his interest to auto racing and was a star on the car racing circuit. While practicing for a race on August 12, 1905 at the Cleveland, Ohio race track in Winton Bullet 2, Kiser's car suddenly turned toward the fence which resulted in the Winton crushing his left leg and dislocating his right shoulder. Garland Routher Kiser (born July 8, 1968) is an American former Major League Baseball player. Kiser played baseball at Sullivan Central High School in Blountville, Tennessee. As a senior, he had a 1.78 earned run average and attracted the attention of professional scouts. He was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 24th round of the 1986 Major League Baseball draft and assigned to the Bend Phillies to begin his professional career.
