Richard Kiser

	Richard Kiser Richard Kiser (born February 23, 1947), is an American Contemporary Christian music, CCM guitar player. Kiser has received over seventy industry awards and was voted the 2009 Instrumentalist of the Decade. Biography Kiser taught himself to play the guitar when he was thirteen and joined a gospel group three years later. He began playing professionally and touring in the late 1960s, but stopped about five years later to raise his family, working occasionally as a session musician and playing at his local church. In the 1990s he resumed touring, this time as a solo concert guitarist. He has recorded eight acoustic albums and has two instructional videos. Kiser is a featured guest artist each year at the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society which holds its annual convention in Nashville, Tennessee. 	Salem, Virginia Salem is an independent city in the U.S. commonwealth of Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 25,346. It is the county seat of Roanoke County, although the two are separate jurisdictions. The Bureau of Economic Analysis combines the city of Salem with Roanoke County, which surrounds both Salem and the neighboring City of Roanoke, for statistical purposes. 	Floyd Cramer Floyd Cramer (October 27, 1933 – December 31, 1997) was an American pianist who became famous for his use of melodic "half step" attacks. He was inducted into both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His signature playing style was a cornerstone of the pop-oriented "Nashville sound" of the 1950s and 1960s. Cramer's "slip-note" or "bent-note" style, in which a passing note slides almost instantly into or away from a chordal note, influenced a generation of pianists. His sound became popular to the degree that he stepped out of his role as a sideman and began touring as a solo act. In 1960, his piano instrumental solo, " Last Date" went to number two on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 pop music chart and sold over one million copies. picture info	Fingerstyle Guitarists Fingerstyle guitar is the technique of playing the guitar or bass guitar by plucking the strings directly with the fingertips, fingernails, or picks attached to fingers, as opposed to flatpicking (plucking individual notes with a single plectrum, commonly called a "pick"). 	International Country Gospel Music Association The International Country Gospel Music Association (ICGMA) is the oldest of all Christian country music organizations. ICGMA began in 1957 as the brainchild of Dr. W. Lindsey Thompson and Billy Holcomb. Their goal was to unite and work together with artists not just from a state side vision, but internationally. They felt that by working internationally they could spread the message and the music to a much larger and global audience. 	Bruce Carroll Bruce Carroll (born December 5, 1953), is an American CCM singer and multi Grammy and Dove Award winning recording artist. Biography Carroll first began performing in a trio with his siblings at age 12; he played folk music in various venues in and around Texas in the 1970s. In 1979 he became a born-again Christian and eventually moved to Nashville. Signing with Word Records, Carroll became a successful Christian music singer, releasing several albums which sold well in the genre and winning seven Dove Awards.
