Kiros was a Canadian rock and punk band formed in 2002 in Calgary. The band's name, Kiros, comes from the Greek word meaning "a moment of divine time". Oceana (band)
Polyenso is an American experimental rock band based in St. Petersburg, Florida, United States. The band is composed of lead vocalist and keyboardist Brennan Taulbee, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Alexander Schultz, and percussionist Denny Agosto. The band's members were all at one point in American post-hardcore band Oceana, but moved to lighter, more uplifting music under the name Polyenso in 2012. Their sound is a blend of indie rock, electronic, folk, jazz, and hip-hop. They released their debut album, ''One Big Particular Loop'', on January 22, 2013. On October 16, 2015, the band released ''EP1'' featuring four tracks from their upcoming second album, ''Pure in the Plastic''. In Fear and Faith was an American post-hardcore band from San Diego, California. Formed in 2006, the group was signed to Rise Records and released three studio albums and two EPs. Their debut full-length, ''Your World on Fire'', being released nearly a year after the band's signing to Rise in 2008, peaked at No. 193 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Their second full-length album, ''Imperial'' was released the following year and failed to make that chart, but did chart on the Top Heatseekers and overall Indie chart in the US. Karate High School was an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California in 2004 by frontman, multi-instrumentalist and producer Paul McGuire. On March 21, 2006, the band released their debut album, ''Arcade Rock''. Karate High School's second album, ''The League Of Tomorrow'', was released on September 4, 2007, which further honed the band's layered, keyboard-driven style of alternative rock. On November 11, 2008, Karate High School announced that they had signed to Eyeball Records, and would release a new record entitled Invaders on May 19, 2009. Vanna was an American hardcore punk band from Boston, Massachusetts, that was formed in 2004. On December 15, 2017, the band played their final show at the Worcester Palladium. The band's sound has been described as furious and cathartic, changing over time from screamo to metalcore to post-hardcore, with some songs showing emo or melodic metalcore elements. History Early years (2004–2005) The band formed in December 2004 by guitarists Nicholas Lambert and Evan Pharmakis. The duo recorded their first demo in Lambert's dorm room at MassArt, using the program Reason for drums. Maylene and the Sons of Disaster is an American heavy metal band from Birmingham, Alabama. The group were founded in 2004, shortly after vocalist Dallas Taylor's departure from Underoath. In 2005, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster signed to Mono Vs Stereo and released their self-titled debut album. The band name and concept are based on the legend of the criminal gang of Ma Barker and her sons, noting that evil lifestyles will be met with divine justice.
