Philip Kington
Philip Oliphant Kington (17 December 1832 – 2 July 1892) was an English businessman and landowner who inherited a Scottish clan chiefdom and also played a single first-class cricket game in Australia. From 1867, when he inherited Ardblair Castle in Scotland from his maternal Oliphant relatives, he took the triple-barrelled name "Kington-Blair-Oliphant". He was born at Clifton, Bristol and died at Datchet, then in Berkshire, now in Buckinghamshire. Kington was the son of Thomas Kington of Charlton House, Wraxall in north Somerset; he was educated at Harrow School and in 1851 he matriculated at Trinity College, Cambridge, although there is no record that he completed a degree at Cambridge University. He played cricket at Harrow, and appeared in the Eton v Harrow match in 1851, but there is no evidence that he played at all at Cambridge. Thomas Kington
Thomas Kington III (18 May 1794 – 1 July 1874) was the leader of the United Brethren in England who converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and after emigrating to Utah Territory became a bishop and patriarch in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). He was charged by Brigham Young to build Kington Fort in Weber County, Utah. Thomas Kington III was born 18 May 1794 in Bodenham, Herefordshire, England, to Eleanor Bowen and Thomas Kington II. He was christened in Bodenham on 7 June 1795 in the Church of England. Kington joined the Wesleyan Methodist Church, but was expelled from that organisation when he disagreed with changes that veered away from some of Wesley's principles. Kington then joined the Primitive Methodists, but disagreements in principles caused him to be expelled from the group sometime before 1830. William Kington
William Miles Nairne Kington (24 September 1838 – 21 April 1898) was an English army officer and cricketer. He was the son of Thomas Kington, the younger (1796–1857), and was educated at Harrow School. In 1858 he was a cornet in the 5th Dragoon Guards. In 1864 he was a captain. He became lieutenant-colonel in the 4th Hussars, and retired in 1880.
