Kim Sung-uk
Kim Sung-uk () is a South Korean journalist, political commentator, and Human rights in North Korea, North Korean human rights activist. As the president of the Korea Liberty Union and Jesus Wave Ministry, Kim has done work in educating the South Korean public, especially its youth, about North Korean human rights through lectures, books, and various public events. He has also appeared as a panelist on Korean TV networks Channel A and TV Chosun, where he discussed South Korean political issues and North Korean human rights. Early life and education Kim was born on February 11, 1971, in Seoul, South Korea. He attended Yonsei University, where he received a Bachelor of Laws, a Master of Laws, and completed coursework for a PhD in international law. Kaesong Industrial Complex
The Kaesŏng Industrial Region (KIR) or Kaesŏng Industrial Zone (KIZ) is a special administrative industrial region of North Korea (DPRK). It was formed in 2002 from part of the Kaesŏng Directly-Governed City. On 10 February 2016, it was temporarily closed by the South Korean government and all staff recalled by the Park Geun-hye administration, although the former President of South Korea, Moon Jae-in, signalled his desire to "reopen and expand" the region in 2017. Its most notable feature is the Kaesŏng industrial park, which operated from 2004 to 2016 as a collaborative economic development with South Korea (ROK). Tongyeong
Tongyeong () is a coastal city in South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. In 2010, it had an area of and a population of 139,869 people. It is divided into 1 eup (town), 6 myeon (township) and 11 dong (neighborhood). Chungmu city and Tongyeong county were reunited in 1995, creating Tongyeong City as it is known today.
