Kim Na-hyun
Kim Na-hyun (; born January 3, 2000) is a South Korean figure skater. She is the 2016 CS Lombardia Trophy silver medalist and has finished in the top ten at two ISU Championships. Career Early career Kim began learning to skate in 2006. Her ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) debut came in August 2013. After placing fifth in Riga, Latvia, she had the same result the following month in Gdańsk, Poland. Ranked 14th in the short program, she qualified to the free skate at the 2014 World Junior Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, and went on to finish tenth overall. Kim's first senior international was the 2016 Four Continents Championships in Taipei, Taiwan; she finished 9th after ranking 8th in both segments. 2016–17 season In September 2016, Kim won the silver medal at a Challenger Series event, the Lombardia Trophy in Bergamo, Italy. 2014 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2014 World Junior Figure Skating Championships was an international figure skating competition in the 2013–14 season. Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", the event determined the World Junior champions in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. It was held in Sofia, Bulgaria. Records The following new junior records were set during this competition: Qualification Skaters from all ISU member nations were eligible for the competition if they were at least 13 years old but not 19—or 21 for male pair skaters and ice dancers—before 1 July 2013 in their place of birth. 2016–17 ISU Challenger Series
The 2016–17 ISU Challenger Series was held from September to December 2016. It was the third season of a group of senior-level international figure skating competitions ranked below the Grand Prix series. Regulations Skaters may enter a maximum of three competitions. After the starting orders are drawn for the short segment, skaters are considered as entered even if they withdraw. With the exception of the host, member nations are limited to three entries per discipline at each event. The International Skating Union requires each Challenger Series competition to include a minimum of three disciplines (from men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), at least ten countries represented in all disciplines combined, and a minimum number of entries and countries in each discipline. The short program of figure skating is the first of two segments of competitions, skated before the free skating program. It lasts, for both senior and junior singles and pair skaters, 2 minutes and 40 seconds. In synchronized skating, for both juniors and seniors, the short program lasts 2 minutes and 50 seconds. Vocal music with lyrics is allowed for all disciplines since the 2014-2015 season. The short program for single skaters and for pair skaters consists of seven required elements, and there are six required elements for synchronized skaters. The 2017 World Figure Skating Championships were held 29 March – 2 April 2017 in Helsinki, Finland. The host was named in June 2014. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dancing. The event also determined the number of entries for each country at the 2018 World Championships and the 2018 Winter Olympics. Venues Hartwall Arena's main arena, with an ice surface measuring 60 m x 30 m, was used for all competitions and several practice sessions. The 2017 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships was an international figure skating competition in the 2016–17 figure skating season. It was held at the Gangneung Ice Arena in Gangneung, South Korea on February 16–19. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The competition served as the figure skating test event for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
