Kim Koivu
Kim Koivu (born 11 April 1991) is a Finnish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He won three times on the 2018 Challenge Tour. Amateur career Koivu attended Georgia Southern University from 2013 to 2015, having previously attended Brevard College for two years. Koivu played on the Nordic Golf League as an amateur during 2017. At the end of the season, he qualified for the final stage of the European Tour Q-school. He turned professional at the end of the season. Professional career Koivu's success in reaching the final stage of the Q-school gained him entry to 2018 Challenge Tour events. He won his second event, the Belt & Road Colorful Yunnan Open, won again later in the season at the Vierumäki Finnish Challenge, where he beat Robert MacIntyre at the first hole of a playoff, and then won the Rolex Trophy two weeks later. Eisenhower Trophy
The Eisenhower Trophy (World Men's Amateur Team Championships) is the biennial World Amateur Team Championship for men organized by the International Golf Federation. Since the tournament was first played in 1958, it is named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, the President of the United States at the time, who was a keen amateur golfer. The equivalent competition for women is the Espirito Santo Trophy. Results The 1958 championship resulted in a tie. There was an 18-hole playoff which Australia won with a score of 222 to the United States 224. From 1958 to 2000 the teams had four players with the best three scores counting for each round. From 2002 the teams have been three players with two counting. The 2004, 2010 and 2012 championships were reduced to 54 holes because of bad weather. 2016 European Amateur Team Championship
The 2016 European Amateur Team Championship took place 5–9 July at Golf de Chantilly, outside Paris, France. It was the 33rd men's golf European Amateur Team Championship. Venue The hosting club was founded in 1909. The Vineuil Course, situated in Chantilly, in the forest of the Hauts-de-France region of Northern France, 50 kilometres (30 miles) north of the center of Paris, close to the Château de Chantilly and Chantilly Racecourse, was originally designed by John Henry Taylor and later redesigned by Tom Simpson and Donald Steel. It had previously hosted eleven editions of the Open de France, the first in 1913 and the latest in 1990. The championship course was set up with par 71. 2015 European Amateur Team Championship
The 2015 European Amateur Team Championship took place 7–11 July at Halmstad Golf Club, in Tylösand, Sweden. It was the 32nd men's golf European Amateur Team Championship. Venue The tournament was played at the Halmstad Golf Club's North course in Tylösand, Halmstad Municipality, 9 kilometers west of Halmstad city center in Halland County, Sweden. The club was founded in 1930. Its first 18-hole course was constructed by Rafael Sundblom and approved in 1938. Another nine holes, constructed by Nils Sköld, was inaugurated in 1967. Together with the last nine holes of the old course, this formed the new course, called the North Course. The club had previously hosted the 1985 European Amateur Team Championship and the 2007 Solheim Cup. The championship course was set up with par 72. The European Amateur Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for men organised by the European Golf Association which was introduced in 1959. The championship was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012).
