Kim Andersen (cyclist)
Kim Andersen (born 10 February 1958 in Malling, Denmark) is a former professional Danish road bicycle racer and current cycling team directeur sportif. From 2004 to 2010, he was a directeur sportif for Danish ProTour Team Saxo Bank. From 2011, he holds the same position at the Leopard Trek team. Rider In 1983 he became the first Dane to wear the yellow jersey in the Tour de France, and later won stages in that race. He has also sported stage wins in Vuelta a España, Four Days of Dunkirk, Ronde van Nederland, Midi Libre and Tour de Suisse, as well as numerous individual wins, 31 during his career. In 1984 he won the semi-classic Flèche Wallonne. Doping Kim Andersen was tested positive for doping in 1987, and was banned for life, a sentence that was later changed to a one-year quarantine. In 1992 he was tested positive again, and fired from his team.

Kim Andersen (jockey)
Kim Andersen (born 1963 in Klampenborg, Denmark) is a jockey in Scandinavian horse racing. Andersen grew up at the racecourse in Klampenborg where his father, John Andersen, was a jockey in the 1960s. He was keen to follow in his father's footsteps after finishing his education. His apprenticeship was postponed for 3 years because his father retired due to ill health after being in the business over in 20 years. His parents thought it was best if he first got an education. After finishing school Kim Andersen trained as a confectioner before he first became an apprentice to the champion trainer Franz Nutz. At the time Nutz already had a number of apprentice jockeys in his care who helped teach Andersen the business. The first year as an apprentice there were no victories, but he persevered and won his first race a year later. Kim Andersen is the former President of World Sailing, the international governing body for sailing worldwide. Andersen was elected to the office of President at the World Sailing Annual Conference and General Assembly on 13 November 2016 in Barcelona, and finished his term in November 2020. Sports administration Hailing from Denmark, Kim Andersen's first involvement in sailing administration was as part of the management team for the Danish Olympic Team for 10 years between 1992 and 2002, serving as Team Manager for Sailing Team Denmark at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Andersen also became Commodore of the Royal Danish Yacht Club in 2007, and held this position for four years until 2011. Andersen became a member of the World Sailing (then ISAF) Council in 2000, a position he held for 8 years until 2008.
