Kiddu Makubuya
Kiddu Makubuya is a Ugandan lawyer, politician, and academic. He is the former minister for general duties in the office of the prime minister. He was appointed to that position on 27 May 2011, replacing Janat Mukwaya who retired from elective politics. Before that, from 2005 until 2011, he served as Uganda's Attorney general. He resigned from cabinet on 16 February 2012 amid allegations of misappropriation of government funds. He is also the former member of parliament, representing Katikamu County South, Luweero District. Early life and education Makubuya was born on 30 July 1949. He holds a First Class Honors Bachelor of Laws degree from Makerere University, which he obtained in 1974. He also holds a Master of Laws degree and a Doctor of Juridical Science, both from Yale Law School and obtained in 1976 and 1979 respectively. Law Development Center
The Law Development Centre (LDC) is an educational institution in Uganda for higher learning that offers various legal courses ranging from one month to one year. Overview The LDC is the only institution in Uganda that offers the Bar Course leading to the award of the post-graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. In the early 2000s, the LDC was plagued by a high failure rate among students, as high as 90 percent in some years. The LDC, together with the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs and the Uganda Law Society, have designed changes that include a pre-admission written examination for students, continuing education requirements for LDC lecturers, and instruction in teaching methods for all academic staff. Prime Minister Of Uganda
The prime minister of Uganda chairs the Cabinet of Uganda, although the president is the effective head of government. Robinah Nabbanja has been the prime minister since 21 June 2021. The post of Prime Minister was created for the first time in 1962. Luwero Triangle
The Luweero Triangle, sometimes spelled Luwero Triangle, is an area of Uganda north of the capital Kampala, where, in 1981, Yoweri Museveni started the guerrilla war that propelled him and his National Resistance Movement into power in 1986. The area was notorious for the persecution of civilians during the Luweero War, between the rebel National Resistance Army and the government of Milton Obote. Many residents were either forcibly recruited or killed by both sides during the five-year Ugandan Bush War, as Museveni's guerrilla forces started their advance from Kyankwanzi southeast toward Kampala.
