KiBiSi
KiBiSi is a design firm in Copenhagen, Denmark, founded in 2009 by Lars Holme Larsen, Bjarke Ingels and Jens Martin Skibsted. It brings together the expertise of their three design companies: Kilo Design (Ki), BIG architects (Bi) and Skibsted Ideation (Si). The three are able to draw on ideas from different fields, creating attractive, functional yet untraditional products. The company specifically addresses the areas of architecture, furniture, electronics, transportation, culture and lifestyle. Lars Holme Larsen
Lars Holme Larsen is a Danish designer, known for founding Danish industrial design studiKilo Designand co-founding Danish design collaboration KiBiSi with Bjarke Ingels and Jens Martin Skibsted. Lars Larsen is a graduate of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Jens Martin Skibsted
Jens Martin Skibsted (born 28 June 1970) is a Danish designer, entrepreneur and author. He is a partner aManyone A/S He has founded or co-founded companies such as Biomega, Skibsted Ideation, Actics, KiBiSi and Ogojiii. He has won several international awards and holds a number of board memberships. Career In 1998 Skibsted co-founded Biomega with former university classmate Elias Grove Nielsen. In 1998 Skibsted Ideation was founded. Actics was founded in 2005. In 2009 Skibsted co-founded KiBiSi with Lars Holme Larsen and Bjarke Ingels. In 2015 Skibsted founded the printed design magazine Ogojiii in Johannesburg, South Africa. Bjarke Ingels
Bjarke Bundgaard Ingels (; born 2 October 1974) is a Danish architect, founder and creative partner of Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). In Denmark, Ingels became well known after designing two housing complexes in Ørestad: VM Houses and Mountain Dwellings. In 2006 he founded Bjarke Ingels Group, which grew to a staff of 400 by 2015, with noted projects including the 8 House housing complex, VIA 57 West in Manhattan, the Google North Bayshore headquarters (co-designed with Thomas Heatherwick), the Superkilen park, and the Amager Resource Center (ARC) waste-to-energy plant – the latter which incorporates both a ski slope and climbing wall on the building exterior. Danish design is a style of functionalistic design and architecture that was developed in mid-20th century. Influenced by the German Bauhaus school, many Danish designers used the new industrial technologies, combined with ideas of simplicity and functionalism to design buildings, furniture and household objects, many of which have become iconic and are still in use and production.
