Khwaeng Bang Phai
Bang Phai ( th, บางไผ่, ) is a ''khwaeng'' (subdistrict) of Bang Khae District, Bangkok's Thonburi side. History It is named after Khlong Bang Phai, a ''khlong'' (canal) that flows through the area. Originally Bang Phai was part of Phasi Charoen District, until the year 1998, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has changed the new administrative district, make Bang Khae become a complete district and Bang Phai became a part of the Bang Khae ever since. Khwaeng
A ''khwaeng'' (, ) is an administrative subdivision used in the fifty districts of Bangkok and a few other city municipalities in Thailand. Currently, there are 180 ''khwaeng'' in Bangkok. A ''khwaeng'' is roughly equivalent to a ''tambon'' in other provinces of Thailand, smaller than an ''amphoe'' (district). With the creation of the special administrative area of Bangkok in 1972 the ''tambon'' within the area of the new administrative entity was converted into ''khwaeng''.Item 17 of The common English translation for ''khwaeng'' is subdistrict. Pak Khlong Talat ( th, ปากคลองตลาด, ;) is a market in Wang Burapha Phirom Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok, Thailand, that sells flowers, fruits, and vegetables. It is the primary flower market of Bangkok and has been cited as a "place of symbolic value" to Bangkok residents. It is on Chak Phet Road and adjacent side-streets, close to Memorial Bridge. Khlong Thawi Watthana
Khlong Thawi Watthana ( th, คลองทวีวัฒนา) is one main ''khlong'' (canal) in Thonburi side of Bangok (west side of Chao Phraya River). Its name is the origin name of Thawi Watthana District. Khlong Thawi Watthana was dug in mid- Rattanakosin period, during 1868–1910 along with Khlong Nara Phirom (คลองนราภิรมย์–this name is used to refer to the part of the khlong in the areas of Nonthaburi and Nakhon Pathom Provinces). Nong Khaem District
Nong Khaem ( th, หนองแขม, ) is one of the 50 districts (''khet'') of Bangkok, Thailand. The district is bounded by other Bangkok districts (from north clockwise): Thawi Watthana, Bang Khae, Bang Bon of Bangkok, Krathum Baen of Samut Sakhon province, Sam Phran and Phutthamonthon of Nakhon Pathom province. Taling Chan ( th, ตลิ่งชัน, ) is one of the 50 districts (''khet'') of Bangkok, Thailand. Its neighbours, clockwise from the north, are Bang Kruai district of Nonthaburi province and Bang Phlat, Bangkok Noi, Bangkok Yai, Phasi Charoen, Bang Khae, and Thawi Watthana Districts of Bangkok. Thawi Watthana ( th, ทวีวัฒนา, ) is one of the two ''khwaengs'' (sub-districts) of Thawi Watthana District, Bangkok's Thonburi side, apart from Sala Thammasop. Phasi Charoen ( th, ภาษีเจริญ, ) is one of the 50 districts (''Khet'') of Bangkok, Thailand. The district is bounded by other Bangkok districts (from north clockwise): Taling Chan, Bangkok Noi, Bangkok Yai, Thon Buri, Chom Thong, Bang Bon, and Bang Khae. History The name of the district came from a canal, ''Khlong Phasi Charoen'' (คลองภาษีเจริญ), linking Tha Chin River to Khlong Bangkok Yai. The canal project was initiated by ''Phra Phasi Sombat Boribun'' (พระภาษีสมบัติบริบูรณ์), who later became ''Phraya Phison Sombat Boribun'' (พระยาพิสณฑ์สมบัติบริบูรณ์).
