Inter Arena
ASK Arena ( az, ASK Arena), formerly Inter Arena and Shafa Stadium is an all-seater football stadium located in Baku . The stadium was built on the site of Termist stadium in 2001 and has a capacity of 8,125 spectators. The stadium surrounded by practice fields, administration buildings and four-star hotel. Background ASK Arena was built by AFFA in 2001. The first match played was a 2001–02 UEFA Cup first qualifying round between Shafa Baku and Olimija Ljubljana where the match ended 0–4. The Azerbaijan First Division ( az, Azərbaycan Birinci Divizionu) is the second highest professional division in Azerbaijani professional football (soccer), football. The division is run by Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan, AFFA. No teams are promoted to Azerbaijan Premier League, Premier Division. History Due to the dissolution of the Soviet Union, all Azerbaijan clubs of the former Soviet Top League, Soviet Premier Division and Soviet First League, Soviet First Division conformed a single Azerbaijan Premier League, which meant that the new second tier of Azerbaijan football would remain regionalized. For the first two seasons three regional groups conformed the second tier, until in 1994 the single table in use today began to be used. Competition format The First Division currently consists of 14 teams. All teams play each other two times. Media coverage CBC Sport currently own all the rights to broadcast the season's games on terrestrial TV.

The 2017–18 Azerbaijan First Division is the second-level of football in Azerbaijan. Turan Tovuz were the defending champions. Teams Sabail was promoted from the 2016–17 season to Azerbaijan Premier League, while Shuvalan relegated to the First Division. On 25 September 2017, it was announced that Bine, Khazar Baku, and Sabah will participate in the First Division.
