Azerbaijan is administratively divided into 66 districts () and 11 cities () that are subordinate to the Republic. Heydar Aliyev International Airport ( az, Heydar Aliyev adına Beynəlxalq Hava Limanı) (IATA: GYD, ICAO: UBBB) is one of the seven international airports serving Azerbaijan. Formerly, it was called Bina International Airport after a suburb of Baku. On 10 March 2004, the airport was renamed after president Heydar Aliyev. The airport is 20 kilometers northeast of Azerbaijan capital Baku, connected to the city by a highway. The airport serves as the hub for national carriers Azerbaijan Airlines and Buta Airways. Facilities Terminals The airport consists of two passenger terminals, Terminal 1 being the newer one, and two cargo terminals. Terminal 1 Terminal 1 was commissioned in April 2014. Lökbatan
Lokbatan is a settlement and municipality in Baku, Azerbaijan. It has a population of 33,245. The municipality consists of the settlements of Lokbatan, Shubany, and Heybat. It is the location of a large mud volcano, and a historic oilfield. One of the first moving pictures filmed in Azerbaijan was of an oil well blowout in the 1930s. The mud volcano produced spectacular flames of natural gas in October 2001.
