Khay (village)
Khay ce, Хьай, Hay inh, Хьай, Hay is a non-residential rural locality (a '' selo'') in Achkhoy-Martanovsky District of the Republic of Chechnya, Russia (Until September 26, 2018, it was in the Sunzhensky District of Ingushetia). Geography Khay is located on the banks of the upper reaches of the Fortanga river, at the northern foot of mountains Khakhalga and Tsorey-Lama. The nearest settlements in the south – the village of Tsori, in the north-west – the village of Alkun, in the north-east – the village of Dattykh, in the east of Gazuni. History In the second half of the 18th century (1770s), the German researcher J. A. Güldenstädt indicated the village of Khay among the total number of Ingush villages proper. Khay (Nubian Official)
Khay was an ancient Egyptian official in charge under king Tutankhamun. He was ''child of the Nursery'', but also ''fan bearer on the Right of the King'', ''troop Commander'' and ''overseer of Southern Foreign Lands''. The titles provide evidence that he was one of the most important officials in Nubia, that was at this time under Egyptian control. Khay is known from a depiction on a temple wall at Kawa and from his sarcophagus, now in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. KHAY
KHAY (100.7 FM, "100.7 KHAY") is a commercial radio station that is licensed to Ventura, California and broadcasts to the Oxnard—Ventura area. The station is owned by Cumulus Media and airs a country music format featuring programming from Nash FM. History The station signed on January 1, 1962 as KVEN-FM and simulcast the middle of the road music format of its AM counterpart KVEN. In 1965, Carroll R. Houser sold KVEN-AM-FM to a group consisting of Ira Laufer, Robert L. Fox, and Greater California Capital Corporation — collectively doing business as KVEN Broadcasting Corporation — for $500,000. In October 1973, KVEN-FM changed its call sign to KHAY and adopted a country music format. It was the first FM country station in California to broadcast in stereo. In August 1996, McDonald Media Group purchased KHAY and KVEN for $12.7 million. In December 1999, Cumulus Media purchased McDonald Media Group's eight stations, including KHAY, for $41 million.
