Khalil Haider
Khalil Haider ( ur, ) is a Pakistani ghazal singer. He became famous after singing a famous poet Nasir Kazmi's ghazal song, ''Nai kapre pehen ker jaooN kahaN'' in 1990. He has also performed as a singer in UK, Canada. and United States. Besides Nasir Kazmi's ghazals, he also uses poet Mohsin Naqvi's poems. Early life and career He was born on 4 May 1965 in village Lakhanwal, Jalalpur Jattan, District Gujrat Punjab, Pakistan. He received his primary education there. In 1980, he moved to Lahore with his family. Ustad Sadiq Husain trained him in classical music. He has sung many ghazals of several Pakistani poets. He has also performed on the Pakistani TV shows, and he visited UK, Canada, and the United States for his successful ghazal performances. Humaira Channa, also known as Humera Channa (born on 22 Jun 1970 at Lahore), is a 6 Nigar Award winning film playback singer from Pakistan. She has won 3rd most Nigar Awards in history, ranked only after Noor Jehan and Mehnaz. Early life and career Humaira Channa entered the Pakistani entertainment industry influenced by her father who was already a filmmaker. She first sang for her father's film at the age of nine. Then she was given an opportunity to sing folk songs of Sufi Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai on Pakistani television, Karachi. She rose to fame in the early 1990s. Ustad Ghulam Ali ( ur, ; 5 December 1940) is a Pakistani ghazal singer of the Patiala Gharana. He has also been a prominent playback singer in Bollywood. Ghulam Ali was a disciple of Bade Ghulam Ali Khan (elder Ghulam Ali Khan). Ali was also trained by Bade Ghulam Ali's younger brothers – Barkat Ali Khan and Mubarak Ali Khan. Jalalpur Jattan ( pnb, , ur, ) is a city in Gujrat District in the province of Punjab (Pakistan), Punjab, Pakistan. It is the centre of Jalalpur Jattan Tehsil and about 50 km from Azad Kashmir, Kashmir. History When Alexander the Great defeated King Porus, he established two towns: one near the Jehlum River, and another near the Chenab River. The latter, present-day Jalalpur Jattan was named ''Shaklanagar'', an amalgamation of Greek and Sanskrit words meaning "the city of beauty".
