Keziah (name)
Keziah or Kezia is a Hebrew name. Keziah was a daughter of Job in the Hebrew Bible. A number of etymologies have been suggested, among them the Hebrew term for the spice tree Cassia. In the United Kingdom, the name Keziah is now unusual, but it was more common in Victorian times. In 1890, the births of 137 children named Kezia were registered in England; in 1990, only 40 were. More recently the name has become unisex despite its origin such as the musician Keziah Jones. Keziah has also found its way into modern literature in the book ''Keziah Dane'' by Sue Grafton. Keziah was also used as a female first name in the United States in the nineteenth century. Keziah (Hebrew: קְצִיעָה ''Qəṣī‘ā''; Greek: Κασία, ''Kasia''; also ''Ketziah'') is a woman in the Hebrew Bible. She was the second of the three daughters born to Job after his sufferings (Job 42:14). Her elder sister was Jemima and her younger sister Keren-Happuch Keren-happuch ( he, קֶרֶן הַפּוּךְ ''Qeren Hapūḵ'', , "Horn of kohl") was the youngest of the three beautiful daughters of Job, named in the Bible as given to him in the later part of his life, after God made Job prosperous again. .... ''The Bill'' is a long-running British television police procedural television series, named after a slang term for the police. The characters are all police officers or civilian staff at the fictional Sun Hill police station in London. Senior officers The following actors appeared as senior officers in ''The Bill''. Simon Rouse, as Jack Meadows, appeared in 884 episodes, including the series finale "Respect". He is the longest serving actor to portray a character in a senior role. ''Kezia'' ( ) is the debut full-length album by the Canadian progressive metal band Protest the Hero, first released in Canada on August 30, 2005, by Underground Operations. It is a concept album about a young girl (Kezia) sentenced to death, told from the perspectives of the various players involved in her sentencing and execution. Overview Production began in late 2004 overseen by Julius "Juice" Butty as their producer-in-chief (known for his work on Alexisonfire's gold-selling album '' Watch Out!''). Kezia was released in Canada on August 30, 2005, and sold 500 copies in the first week and went on to sell more than 5000 copies in the next 2–3 weeks. ''Kezia'' is a concept album, and was described by the band members as a "situationist requiem". The 1950 Pacific typhoon season has no official bounds; it ran year-round in 1950, but most tropical cyclones tend to form in the northwestern Pacific Ocean between June and December. These dates conventionally delimit the period of each year when most tropical cyclones form in the northwestern Pacific Ocean. The scope of this article is limited to the Pacific Ocean, north of the equator and west of the international date line. Storms that form east of the date line and north of the equator are called hurricanes; see 1950 Pacific hurricane season. This would be the first season that Fleet Weather Center in Guam, predecessor agency to Joint Typhoon Warning Center, would take most of the responsibility in the basin, including naming the storms. Ark Encounter
Ark Encounter is a Christian young Earth creationist theme park that opened in Williamstown, Kentucky, United States in 2016. The centerpiece of the park is a large representation of Noah's Ark, based on the Genesis flood narrative contained in the Bible. It is long, wide, and high. Ark Encounter is operated by Answers in Genesis (AiG), a young Earth creationist (YEC) organization that also operates the Creation Museum away in Petersburg, Kentucky. Ken Ham, an Australian creationist and CEO of AiG founded the park. The theme park promotes pseudoscientific young Earth creationist beliefs about the age of the universe, age of the Earth, and co-existence of humans and non-avian dinosaurs. After feasibility studies projected that the park would be a boon to the state's tourism industry, Ark Encounter received tax incentives from the city, county, and state to induce its construction.
