Key is an unincorporated community in Belmont County, Ohio, Belmont County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. History A post office called Key was established in 1879, and remained in operation until 1933. Belmont County is a county in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 66,497. Its county seat is St. Clairsville.
