Kevin Lundberg
Kevin Lundberg (born July 29, 1952) is a former legislator in the U.S. state of Colorado. Before his appointment to the State Senate in 2009 as a United States Republican Party, Republican, he was elected to serve as the Representative to House District 49 in the Colorado House of Representatives in 2003. He was appointed to the Colorado Senate in 2009, replacing Senator Steve Johnson after his resignation. He represented Colorado's 15th Senate district, Senate District 15, which encompasses Berthoud, CO, Berthoud, Estes Park, CO, Estes Park, Laporte, CO, Laporte, Loveland, CO, Loveland, Red Feather Lakes, Colorado, Red Feather Lakes and Wellington, CO, Wellington. Colorado's 15th Senate district is one of 35 districts in the Colorado Senate. It has been represented by Democratic Party (United States), Democrat Janice Marchman since 2023. A general election was held in the U.S. state of Colorado on November 6, 2018. All of Colorado's executive offices and all seven of its seats in the United States House of Representatives were up for election. Democrats swept the statewide offices up for election, leaving the Class 2 U.S. Senate seat as the last statewide office held by a Republican. Douglas Bruce
Douglas Edward Bruce (born August 26, 1949) is an American conservative activist, attorney, convicted felon, and former legislator who served as a member of the Colorado House of Representatives from 2008 to 2009. He is also known for being the author of Colorado's Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TABOR). A strict advocate for limited government, Bruce wrote and promoted TABOR, a spending limitation measure approved by Colorado voters in 1992. His name is so associated with the measure that attempts to bypass its restrictions are known as "de-Brucing." After two unsuccessful campaigns for the Colorado State Senate in 1996 and 2000, Bruce was elected to the El Paso County Commission in 2004. The Federal Marriage Amendment (FMA), also referred to by proponents as the Marriage Protection Amendment, was a proposed amendment to the United States Constitution that would legally define marriage as a union of one man and one woman. Berthoud, Colorado
The Town of Berthoud is a Statutory Town located in Larimer and Weld counties, Colorado, United States. The town population was 10,332 at the 2020 United States Census with 10,071 residing in Larimer County and 261 residing in Weld County. Berthoud is situated north of the Little Thompson River, south of Fort Collins and north of Denver in the Front Range Urban Corridor. History White settlers first came to the present-day Berthoud area in the early 1860s, following the Colorado Gold Rush. Many settlers filed homestead claims, but most bellied up and left the valley to hardier souls who ranched and farmed the arid prairie that straddled the river bottom.
