Kevin Johnson (golfer)
Kevin James Johnson (born April 25, 1967) is an American professional golfer. College career Johnson was born in Plymouth, Massachusetts. He attended Clemson University and was Clemson's first three-time All-American in golf (he was a third-team choice in 1987 as a sophomore, then made first-team as a junior and second-team as a senior). He was inducted into the Clemson Hall of Fame in 2002. He also won the U.S. Amateur Public Links in 1987. Professional career Johnson has made about 80% of his career earnings while playing on the Web.com Tour, where he has won six times, twice during the 2009 season. The first came in a playoff victory over Jeff Gallagher at the Rex Hospital Open, and the second came at the Knoxville Open in a two-hole playoff win over Bradley Iles. Eisenhower Trophy
The Eisenhower Trophy (World Men's Amateur Team Championships) is the biennial World Amateur Team Championship for men organized by the International Golf Federation. Since the tournament was first played in 1958, it is named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, the President of the United States at the time, who was a keen amateur golfer. The equivalent competition for women is the Espirito Santo Trophy. Results The 1958 championship resulted in a tie. There was an 18-hole playoff which Australia won with a score of 222 to the United States 224. From 1958 to 2000 the teams had four players with the best three scores counting for each round. From 2002 the teams have been three players with two counting. The 2004, 2010 and 2012 championships were reduced to 54 holes because of bad weather. The Massachusetts Open is the Massachusetts state open golf tournament, open to both amateur and professional golfers. It is organized by Mass Golf (formerly the Massachusetts Golf Association). It has been played annually since 1905 (except for war years and 2020) at a variety of courses around the state. It was considered a PGA Tour event from 1916 to 1937. Matt Kuchar
Matthew Gregory Kuchar (born June 21, 1978) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and formerly the Nationwide Tour. He has won nine times on the PGA Tour. Kuchar briefly enjoyed success in the early 2000s before suffering a slump where he struggled to maintain his playing status on the PGA Tour. He rejuvenated himself and built a new, one-plane swing from 2008 onward leading to improved results. Kuchar was the PGA Tour's leading money winner in 2010. Mark Hensby
Mark Adam Hensby (born 29 June 1971) is an Australian professional golfer. Hensby was born in Melbourne, Victoria. He grew up in Tamworth, New South Wales and attended Tamworth High School, leaving at the age of 16 to work as a postie while spending most of his time on the golf course. He moved to the United States in 1994, and having initially stayed with family friends, for a time slept in his car parked at the Cog Hill Golf & Country Club near Chicago, Illinois. He won the Illinois State Amateur Championship in 1994 before turning professional the following year. He now lives in Mesa, Arizona. Bob Heintz
Robert Edward Heintz (born May 1, 1970) is an American professional golfer who plays on the Nationwide Tour. Heintz was born in Syosset, New York. He was a three-time Ivy League champion at Yale University. Heintz turned professional in 1992 and joined the Nike Tour (now Nationwide Tour) in 1994, then took a hiatus and did not return to the Tour until 1999 where he won two events, the Nike Shreveport Open and the Nike Tour Championship, en route to finishing 6th on the money list and earning his PGA Tour card for 2000. After a poor rookie year on Tour, he returned to the Nationwide Tour in 2001 but got back to the PGA Tour in 2002 through qualifying school.
