Kevin Johansen
Kevin Johansen (born 21 June 1964) is an US-born Argentine musician and singer-songwriter. He is known for mixing several rhythms and languages in his musical work. Biography Kevin Johansen was born on June 21, 1964 in Fairbanks, Alaska, to Marta Gloria Calvet and Kent Johansen. Marta Calvet was an Argentine feminist and polyglot; she met Kent Johansen while studying in Denver. They moved to Alaska and lived there until Kevin was 5 years old. In 1969, they moved to Phoenix where his sister Karina was born. His parents got divorced soon after, and the mother and children moved to San Francisco. His mother remarried a Mexican painter, but in time the relationship became abusive and she decided to leave her husband and the US in 1976. Johansen spent his teenage years between Buenos Aires and Montevideo. Ricardo Siri (Buenos Aires, November 15, 1973), better known by the name Liniers, is an Argentine cartoonist. Early life Liniers is related to viceroy Santiago de Liniers. He began drawing from a very early age; he has remarked that he began to draw in order to enjoy movies at home. "I wanted to have ''Star Wars'' and the only way to have it was to draw it. So we could look at it whenever we wanted to." His father was a lawyer and his mother worked at various jobs, including making slippers and little paintings. Teatro Gran Rex
The Teatro Gran Rex is an Art Deco style theatre in Buenos Aires, Argentina which opened on July 8, 1937, as the largest cinema in Argentina. Located near the centre of the city at 857 Corrientes Avenue, it was designed by the architect Alberto Prebisch, who was also in charge of the construction of the Obelisk, one of the main icons of the city. The design of the interior was influenced by that of Radio City Music Hall in New York City and construction of the theatre was completed in just seven months in association with the engineer Adolfo Moret.
