Kevin Burness
Kevin Burness (born 17 November 1965) is a Northern Irish professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Burness entered UK Q-School in 2018, winning a two-year Tour Card, by finishing in the top 15 on the Order of Merit, after the four days of Q-School were completed. Burness won the 2018 Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay to qualify for the 2019 PDC World Darts Championship, beating Mick McGowan 6–3. He beat Paul Nicholson 3–0 in the first round of the 2019 PDC World Darts Championship. In the second round against Gary Anderson he was defeated 3–1. Burness made his PDC European Tour debut in the 2019 Danish Darts Open. He lost 6–1 in the second round against Joe Cullen. He lost his Tour card after the 2019 season, when he finished 83rd on the PDC Order of Merit. 2011 World Masters (darts)
The 2011 Winmau World Masters was a major televised tournament on the BDO/ WDF calendar for 2011. It took place from 1–4 September in the Hull Arena, which hosted the event for the first time, taking over from the nearby Hull City Hall. Defending men's champion Martin Adams lost in the semi-finals to Scott Waites, who went on to win his first World Masters title beating Dean Winstanley by 7 sets to 2 in the final. 2018 PDC Pro Tour
The 2018 PDC Pro Tour was a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Players Championships, UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events are the events that make up the Pro Tour. In this year there are 41 PDC Pro Tour events being held – 22 Players Championships, six UK Open Qualifiers and 13 European Tour events. It was the twenty-second year of the tournament where players compete in a single-elimination tournament to be crowned champion. The tournament was held at Butlin's Minehead, England, between 1–3 March 2024. Andrew Gilding was the defending champion after defeating Michael van Gerwen 11–10 in the 2023 final to win his first major title, but he lost 10–1 to Peter Wright in the fifth round. The 2022 Cazoo UK Open was a darts tournament staged by the Professional Darts Corporation. It was the twentieth year of the tournament where players compete in a single elimination tournament to be crowned champion. The tournament returned to Butlin's Minehead, England, between 4–6 March 2022, having been held behind closed doors at the Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes in 2021 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. James Wade was the defending champion after defeating Luke Humphries 11–5 in the 2021 final, but he lost 10–4 to Keane Barry in the quarter-finals. The 2020 Ladbrokes UK Open was a darts tournament staged by the Professional Darts Corporation. It was the eighteenth year of the tournament where players compete in a single elimination tournament to be crowned champion. The tournament was held for the seventh time at the Butlin's Resort in Minehead, England, between 6–8 March 2020, and has the nickname, "the FA Cup of darts" as a random draw is staged after each round following the conclusion of the third round until the final. UK Open
The Cazoo UK Open is a ranking major darts tournament held annually at the Butlins Minehead Resort by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) in England. Often referred to as the "FA Cup of darts", the UK Open replicates the abolition of seedings, elimination play, and fixtures determined via open draw. The 2020 PDC World Darts Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the 2020 William Hill World Darts Championship) was the 27th World Championship organised by the Professional Darts Corporation since it separated from the British Darts Organisation. The event took place at Alexandra Palace in London from 13 December 2019 to 1 January 2020. Michael van Gerwen was the defending champion, after defeating Michael Smith 7–3 in the 2019 final. The PDC World Darts Championship, known for sponsorship purposes as the Cazoo World Darts Championship, organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), is a World Professional Darts Championship held annually in the sport of darts. The PDC championship begins in December and ends in January and is held at Alexandra Palace in London and has been held there since 2008. The 2017 Winmau World Masters was a major tournament on the BDO/ WDF calendar for 2017. It took place from 25–27 September at the Bridlington Spa Hall, which hosted the stage element of the event for the first time since 2009.
