Keshav Sthapit
Keshav Sthapit is a former mayor of Kathmandu metropolitan city. He also held the position of minister in Bagmati Pradesh and is a former member of the province's Assembly. Keshav Sthapit was elected as the mayor of Kathmandu in 1997. After the royal takeover in 2005, he was appointed the Mayor of Kathmandu by King. In year 2005 he was top finalist for world best mayor. After the return of democracy, he was appointed as a Commissioner of Kathmandu Valley Development Authority after joining Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) but was removed from the post after only nine months. He was a candidate for Member of Parliament from Kathmandu 6 in 2017, but came in fifth place under the ticket of Federal Socialist Party. He returned to CPN-UML and became a Provincial Minister but was sacked by Chief Minister Dormani Poudel after misbehaving during cabinet meetings. Provincial Assembly Of Bagmati Province
The Provincial Assembly of Bagmati Province also known as the Bagmati Pradesh Sabha, (Nepali: वाग्मती प्रदेश सभा) is a unicameral governing and law making body of Bagmati Province, one of the seven provinces in Nepal The assembly is seated in the provincial capital at Hetauda in Makwanpur District at the Regional Educational Directorate Office. The assembly has 110 members of whom 66 are elected through first-past-the-post voting and 44 of whom are elected through proportional representation. The term of the assembly is five years unless dissolved earlier. The present First Provincial Assembly was constituted in 2017 after the 2017 provincial elections. Online Khabar is an independent private online news portal of Nepal established in 2006, providing news in Nepali and English languages. There is no print available from this media house. In 2014, it was one of the top 10 web news portal in Nepal. By 2020, it became the most viewed news portal from Nepal. The rise in online viewing of online newspapers including Online Khabar has been partially attributed to the Gorkha earthquake of 2015 during which the print media had stopped. The news agency actively advocates free journalism by taking part against media censorship by the state. The journalist of the media has been attacked by police in some incidents. Federal Socialist Party () was a political party of Nepal led by Ashok Rai formed in 2012. History Ashok Rai who was the vice-chair of CPN (UML) and Rajendra Prasad Shrestha, a central committee member of the party, broke away from the CPN (UML) to form the Federal Socialist Party in November 2012. Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Nepal ( ne, राष्ट्रिय प्रजातन्त्र पार्टी नेपाल; translation: ''National Democratic Party Nepal'') is a Hindu right-wing, cultural conservative.
