Yogesh Bhattarai
Yogesh Bhattarai ( ne, योगेश भट्टराई ) is a Nepali politician and a former Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation. He was elected to the House of Representatives from Taplejung constituency in the 2017 general elections. Political Life He was elected as campus chairman of the Mahendra Multiple campus Free Student Union. He became president of All Nepal National Free Students Union, the student wing of CPN-UML in 1995. During the split of CPN-UML in 1998, he was part of the breakaway faction but rejoined the mother party. He became a central committee member of CPN-UML in 2009 after the eighth general convention and party secretary after the ninth general convention in 2014. He is currently secretary of Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) . The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) is the governmental body for promoting tourism, culture and private sector involvement in Nepal. It also serves as the Nepalese aviation regulatory body. The ministry is located in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu. History The Ministry of Tourism was established in 1978 by the Government of Nepal. The portfolios of Civil Aviation and Culture were added in 1982 and 2000 respectively. Tikapur ( ne, टिकापुर) is a Municipality in Kailali District in Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal that was established in January 1997. Nepalgunj Airport
Nepalgunj Airport is a domestic airport serving Nepalgunj in Nepal. There are plans by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal to promote the airport to an international airport and establishing immigration, customs and quarantine facilities. History The airport has been in service since 1961. In land area it is the third largest airport in Nepal, after Dhangadhi Airport. It also has the second greatest number of aircraft and passenger movements. After the introduction of FK-100 jet aircraft, passenger movement at this airport increased by 13.39% in 2005 (up to November) against the figure in the year 2004. In 2005, Flying Dragon Airlines set up its operating base at the airport, however the airline ceased to operate one year later.
