Kerala Media Academy
Kerala Media Academy (formerly Kerala Press Academy), is an academy of journalists in Kerala. The academy was established on 19 March 1979. It is a joint venture of the Government of Kerala, Kerala Union of Working Journalists and Indian Newspaper Society. The head office of Kerala Press Academy is located at Kakkanad, Kochi, Kerala. Kochi
Kochi (), also known as Cochin ( ) ( the official name until 1996) is a major port city on the Malabar Coast of India bordering the Laccadive Sea, which is a part of the Arabian Sea. It is part of the district of Ernakulam in the state of Kerala and is commonly referred to as Ernakulam. Kochi is the most densely populated city in Kerala. Indian Newspaper Society
The Indian Newspaper Society (INS; formerly ''Indian and Eastern Newspaper Society'') acts as the central organization of the Press of India, an independent body authenticating circulation figures of newspapers and periodicals in India. It plays a major role in protecting and promoting freedom of the press in India. The society was founded in 1939. Its headquarters are at Rafi Marg, New Delhi. INS membership comprises the owners, proprietors and publishers of print media who discusses and suggest various measures to the government regarding the problems related to the newspaper industry. Kakkanad
Kakkanad is a major industrial and residential region in the city of Kochi in Kerala, India. It is situated in the eastern part of the city and houses the Cochin Special Economic Zone, Infopark, Smart City and KINFRA Export Promotion Industrial Park. Chowara Parameswaran
Chowara Parameswaran was an Indian journalist, rationalist, reformer, and translator. He is also known as ''Chowara Gandhi'' He participated in the All-Kerala Political Conference held at Palakkad in 1921 and participated in the Vaikom Satyagraha in 1924, the Civil Disobedience Movement in 1930 and the Quit India Movement in 1942. After independence, he worked as a journalist and fought for the rights of journalists. He died on 20 December 1968. Mass is an intrinsic property of a body. It was traditionally believed to be related to the quantity of matter in a physical body, until the discovery of the atom and particle physics.
