Kenton, London
Kenton is a district in north-west London, England, to the east of Harrow, London, Harrow and historically in Middlesex. As with surroundings in Harrow, Wembley and Kingsbury, London, Kingsbury, the area was a product of Metro-land, Metroland suburbia of the early 20th century. Both the London and North Western Railway and Metropolitan Railway reached the area by the 1920s. The main road through Kenton, the east-west Kenton Road, is a busy and important road that links Harrow to the major Edgware Road. The road now forms the boundary between the London boroughs of London Borough of Harrow, Harrow and London Borough of Brent, Brent. History The hamlet was recorded as "Keninton" in 1232. The name derives from the personal name of the Saxon "Coena" and the Old English "tun", a farm – and means "the farm of Coena" and his family who once lived on a site near here. North Wembley
North Wembley is a district in north-west London, England. It is located in the London Borough of Brent and is mostly made up of the 1930s Sudbury Court Estate. North Wembley forms the north-western part of the district of that is its namesake. The major roads in the area are East Lane, Watford Road, and Sudbury Court Drive. Most of it is part of the Wembley HA0 postcode area, but a small part in the east (including East Lane Business Park) falls under Wembley HA9, and parts in the west (including Sudbury Court Drive) fall under Harrow HA1. Watford DC Line
The Watford DC line is a suburban railway line from London Euston to Watford Junction in Greater London and Hertfordshire. The line is shared by services on London Underground's above-ground section of the Bakerloo line between Harrow & Wealdstone and Queen's Park, and London Overground's Lioness line which runs over its entire length. The line runs beside the West Coast Main Line (WCML) for most of its length. Stanmore is part of the London Borough of Harrow in Greater London. It is centred northwest of Charing Cross, lies on the outskirts of the London urban area and includes Stanmore Hill, one of the List of highest points in London, highest points of London, at high. Northwick Park Tube Station
Northwick Park is a London Underground station in Kenton in the London Borough of Brent on the Metropolitan line. It lies between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Preston Road stations and is in Travelcard zone 4. The station takes its name from the nearby public park, Northwick Park. It is close to Northwick Park Hospital and the Harrow campus of the University of Westminster. Kenton station, located on the Bakerloo line and the London Overground, is within walking distance. There is an official out-of-station interchange between these two stations. On the island platform, there is one of the few surviving K8 telephone kiosks. Kenton is an interchange station situated on Kenton Road in Kenton, north-west London. It is on the Bakerloo line of the London Underground and the Lioness line of the London Overground, between Harrow & Wealdstone and South Kenton stations. It also has an out-of-station interchange with Northwick Park station on the London Underground's Metropolitan line. History The station was one of several built on the London and North Western Railway's New Line from Camden to Watford Junction which enabled local services from Watford Junction station to reach Euston station and Broad Street station in London. The National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors was a register of public houses in the United Kingdom with interiors which had been noted as being of significant historic interest, having remained largely unchanged for at least 30 years, but usually since at least World War II.
