Kentin Mahé
Kentin Mahé (born 22 May 1991) is a French handball player for Telekom Veszprém and the French national team. Early life Kentin Mahé was born in Paris and started to play handball at age six in AS Monaco, before briefly representing ASPTT Nice. In 2000, he moved to Germany where he grew up, due to his father Pascal Mahé, a former handball player, taking up several managerial positions in the country. His maternal grandmother is from Sweden and he lived in Stockholm for four months in 2008, aged 18, playing youth handball with then reigning national champions Hammarby IF. Career Mahé returned to Germany in 2009 and made his senior debut for DHC Rheinland, before enjoying stints in VfL Gummersbach and HSV Hamburg. In 2015, he signed with the German top club SG Flensburg-Handewitt where he developed into a world class-player under the management of Ljubomir Vranjes. SG Flensburg-Handewitt
SG Flensburg-Handewitt is a professional handball club from Flensburg and Handewitt in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Currently, they compete in the Handball-Bundesliga and EHF European League. 2019 World Men's Handball Championship
The 2019 IHF World Men's Handball Championship was the 26th event hosted by the International Handball Federation and held in Denmark and Germany from 10 to 27 January 2019. It was the first IHF World Men's Handball Championship to include more than one host country. It was also the first time a unified Korean team participated. Denmark, in a clean sweep, won their first title by defeating Norway 31–22 in the final. This was Norway's second final in a row and the first final since 1995 between two nations who had not won before. France captured the bronze medal after a 26–25 win over Germany. The tournament set a new spectator record with 906,283, helped by the fact that there were two home teams. The IHF Men's Handball World Championship has been organized indoor by the International Handball Federation since 1938. In the twenty-seven tournaments held, eleven nations have won the title. Ljubomir Vranjes
Ljubomir Vranjes (born 3 October 1973) is a Swedish handball coach and former player who competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Since June 2022, he is the head coach of USAM Nîmes Gard. Career Club Vranjes played with Redbergslids IK for eight years, between 1991 and 1999, and has won five Swedish championship titles (1992–93, 1993–94, 1995–96, 1996–97, and 1997–98). National team Vranjes was a member of the Swedish national team for eleven years, between 1996 and 2007. With Sweden, he won the European Handball Championship three times (1998, 2000, and 2002), and the World Handball Championship once, in 1999. He also won the silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team.
